Spiritual Hunger (?)

as the Lord leads, I felt it good, profitable, edifying ...and yes, convicting to post this exhortation from Dr. Michael Brown on spiritual hunger. (brother Greg, of course, I pre-listened to this message before I would even dare post this message from bro Mike, and there is nothing "off" in it)

brothers and sisters, I implore you, just listen for 15 minutes, and this exhortation doesn't speak to your soul?....turn it off, But brother Mike is hitting the mark, in Jesus love, neil

did anyone prayerfully listen?....if so, can we agree on just one principle, that we are hungry for more of God?

brother, i'm up here in the "Great White North", rural Upper Midwest...lots of churches, and NOT ONE has a stand alone prayer meeting, you know what Bro. Len Ravenhill said?
he wouldn't join a church that did NOT have at the least a weekly prayer meeting, and I talk with the various pastors...meekly..and find out where prayer fits in their ministry, I ask them what they think of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.....their eyes glaze over....no youth in the churches, and around here, most of the young folks are good people, work hard, play by the rules, but Friday at 5?...after work, lining up at the Kwik Stop to buy a case of Bud?, and by Sunday, I hear from them, "oh man, i'm hung to the bone" (hungover)...and the utter disregard to our total dependency on the Lord, is because ....right up here, we live in the safest part of not only the whole US, but the world! sitting on top of 20% the world's clean drinking water, food grown on the hill and dale, or fed out, for either beef, or milk, coherent sane county governance, a good man as sheriff...maybe its because we have grown "at ease in Zion".....and knowing Scripture, the Lord has a cure for that, and that God discipline can get ugly...Brother Mike, just had a call, family...not good stuff, do i'm gonna end this response with May God love, neil

continue to pursue God with all of your
heart. Don't wait on the churches, but ask
God to make you an instrument of prayer
and revival. God will help you to recognize
a few others that are likeminded and have
a zeal and passion like you do. All it
takes is a few brothers and sisters to begin
to gather in their homes, fellowship over
a meal, and pray as the Holy Spirit is
directing you. Pray and share the scriptures.
It is amazing what God can do through only
a few believers that will come together in
corporate prayer.
