Who are you in The Secret Place?

When I go into the secret place, I am looking for Jesus, my refuge and my strength. I want to see who He is and have no interest in who I am. I am not trusting in myself and not looking to or at myself. I am looking at Him, that is why I go to the secret place, to find and be with Him.

Psalm 91:4
He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

He covers me so that I may trust in Him and not myself.

I believe all of His promises to me are hinged on this secret place in Him. In the secret place is where I find assurance that God will fulfill all He desires to fulfill in my life.

In the secret place, He delivers me out of temptation.
II Peter 2:9
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished

In the secret place, He delivers me from my Adversary, the Fowler.
Psalm 91:3
Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

His secret place is my place of refuge, because I trust in Him.
Proverbs 14:26
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge.

In His secret place, He is my Rock.
Psalm 27:5
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the SECRET of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.

Only in the secret place can we resist the Enemy.
Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

The Lord will watch over those who are abiding in the secret place with Him. This is a place where I can rest in Him because I have made Him my habitation. It is the ONLY SAFE PLACE TO DWELL. It is in the secret place where I receive all I need from the Lord. I will call upon Him and He will answer as He has promised to be with me in times of trouble and deliver me.

In the secret place, I am beholding Him.

He is my Sabbath Rest, not a day (as Heb 3:7 - 4:11 teaches) but "TODAY". It is a spiritual state of being at rest in Him, for today. In the secret place, I am at rest and I need to stay in this secret place. The secret place is a spiritual place of rest and refreshment, refuge and peace. A safe place! Being "In Christ" is my Secret Place. Yes, He is my Secret Place, and who am I in this Place? Needy and dependent and grateful and yet He calls me so many wonderful things, yet I would rather talk about Him. Isn't that just how a marriage is?

Fear not what today or the future brings:

Isa_41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isa_41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

In the secret place, it is all about Him.
