Have we forgotten about satan?

Apparently, everything is now the flesh.

Reminds me of the old saying,

"You can't crucify a demon or cast out the flesh".

There is little discernment, today.

That is true, TMK. He has power over men to the extent they allow him. But, the church has either made light of him or just plain ignore him,,,to their detriment. Otherwise, they would obey the Lord to come out of religious and worldly Babylon.

Though he is defeated, he still deceives the nations and the church and we are admonished by Paul to NOT be ignorant of his devices.

The Word actually has quite a bit to say about Satan and this is only scratching the surface.

He controls the natural man, (unregenerate) and attacks the Church in many ways. Look around, he is quite successful.

3. ensares man, holds them captive - II Tim. 2:26; Rom. 6:17
4. blinds their minds - II Cor. 4:4
5. source of sin - I Jn. 3:8,10,12
6. tempts - I Cor. 7:5; I Thess. 3:5; James 1:14
7. accuses - Rev. 12:10
8. ensnares men - I Tim. 3:7
9. seeks to take advantage - II Cor. 2:11
10. persecutes - Rev. 2:10
11. hinders the servants of God - I Thess. 2:18
12. spreads apostasy - I Tim. 1:20; 5:15
13. opposes kingdom of God - Matt. 12:28,29
14. the source of antichrist activity - I Jn. 2:18,22; 4:3
15. steals the word and counters evangelism - Mk. 4:15; Lk. 8:12
16. Fosters and spreads false Christian religion - II Cor. 11:14; Rev. 2:9; Jn. 8:44; Col. 2:20-23
17. Perverts Christianity by creating counterfeit believers - Matt. 13:30
18. People are under his dominion - Acts 26:18 - "to turn from the dominion of Satan to God"
19. We are not to give him any opportunity - Eph. 4:27 - "do not give the devil an opportunity"
20. Admonished not to take him lightly - I Pet. 5:8 - "your adversary, the devil, prowls about like roaring lion"

Oh, yeah and he deceives people into thinking he does not exist nor have any power.
