Sheep Among Wolves Simulcast

Tonight Joel Richardson and Spirit of Matrydom Ministries did a love simulcast of the "Sheep Among Wolves" Film by FAI Studios on the persecuted church in the Islamic world. They discuss it before & after. Over 360 churches/gatherings of believers watched this together tonight (including our home fellowship). May God use it to bring awareness & love, prayer, giving & calling (as the Lord wills) to the greatest harvest in the earth at this time!

At first there are always different initial reactions, takeaways, thoughts, emotions, etc. but overall I thought it was really good. It actually was a catalyst for another leader & myself to have some really good sharing between us, understanding of my heart in bearing this burden, etc. I think it was good. I had already watched it with my wife & kids & me & my wife discussed the two intial takeaways:

1.) Lord, would I be able to do that? Or better stated, "Lord, am I giving you my whole heart in truth, dieing daily, carrying my cross, etc. & have I in that way counted the cost & truly settled my heart that I would die for you or remain faithful in any of these real life situations if you called me to such?

2.) These are the the real life situations for our brothers & sisters in these lands, & Lord, what do you want me to do? If it's pray/intercede, spread awareness, give $, go, or some combination of those, Lord lead me.

I watched the simulcast also. Though I have seen that YouTube a few times previously. Watching it again brought home the reality of the persecuted Church and the harvest.

Interesting the video was divided into the two chapters. The first chapter was the underground Church. The second chapter was the harvest. You cannot separate the persecuted church from the global harvest.

On our previous conference call number we used to have a recording. The recording went something like this... Welcome to Persecution Watch where we advance His kingdom purposes by praying for the Persecuted Church and calling out for the global harvest of souls... Unfortunately the conference number we are using now does not have a pre-recording feature.

One of the questions that was asked at the end of the simulcast was how to pray for the persecuted church. We have been doing this for the last 5 1/2 years on our conference call. I would like to contact these various ministries and make them aware of our conference call prayer line as a service for them. For those who would like to pray but do not have a group to oray in.

But again, I will certainly encourage those involved with Persecution Watch to watch this simulcast and be stirred to pray and be a part of this great end time Harvest.

As I reflected more on the simulcast from last night. I'm really struck by the sister who said that if she was raped by the jihadists, she would close her eyes and say Jesus I offer my body as a sacrifice to you. Such a depth of faith puts me to shame.

I have heard it said that one hour spent in the presence of someone who has gone through the fires of persecution, will expose the shallowness of our Western Christian culture. So true as I reflect upon that sister's statement.

I'm sure much more could be shared having watched the video several times. But this is just one thing that's resonating in my heart this morning. Maybe this is what the Lord would have me here at this time.
