If you have it and love it,

If you had it and didnt love it,

Please give me your experience with the Thompson.

I have the Henry Morris study Bible that I love.

But as I get toward Revelations and the end, I think Id like the Thompson, but Im not real sure.

Is it great for the regular garden variety Christian (lol)

Love my old KJV Thompson Chain bible. Think the system is genius. Mine has a misspelling. Baby Jesus was lain in a manager. :)

I like it. With the advent of smartphones, mine sits on the shelf most of the time. I can study and cross reference much more efficiently electronically now. But, I keep it and I love it.

I will have to look to see if Jesus is lain in a manager in mine as well.

Thank you for your responses.

Now would you say for a newer Christian and one who believes time is running out, that using the Thompson Chain is more intensive and beneficial then reading plain (no anything extra) Bible?

Granted the Holy Spirit can use any means whatsoever.

Just that Im trying to figure out how best to maximize my Bible time.

Reading straight thru?
Or thinking of a word or verse like repentence and following that chain. When it runs out going again with a new word or verse.

Thank you

A combination?

I am convinced a straight through reading, over and again, is indispensable. But, as the Spirit even in the slightest agitation of your mind or heart excites an inquiry, perhaps to start down a chain until you are satisfied that He has filled you with that word or idea at the time.

That does sound good Tim.

Since noone has come here and said, no dont bother with the Thompson, I will go ahead and get me one and soon.

Edited in the evening. Nope, no Thompson.

Zac Poonen answered this for me. I watched his April 3 sermon.

Next Im to read very slooooowly. That sounded as a word for me. So I will do so with text only Bible. That will keep me busy until the rapture.
