I've been to several that did different things, now for jail I bought a small Bose for my iPod and I take ALL different kinds of worship. And the reason I mention jail is because I treat it just like a home fellowship and that is one reason why they like it so.
I have one hour with them so tonight I only took 3 songs, 1. Changed by Rascal Flatts 2. Beauty for Ashes by Chris McClarney and 3. Once and For All by Lauren Daigle (awesome song!).
I type the words and print them out for them and they KEEP the words so they sing them when they get back to their cells!!! But if I had a home fellowship, I would have some type of notebooks with these songs so I wouldn't have to print them out each week.
God bless, Tim

In our home fellowship up North, our hostess' daughters played the keyboard and guitar. We also had a songbook made by one of the brothers. It was a mix of good ol' hymns and some modern ones too. Also, there was freedom for anyone to sing whatever the Spirit gave them. It was awesome. I still miss them.
