Beware dear sir. The only sure success is to cut off the head. From facebook, to SI, to something next perhaps?

I am wholly convinced now that the internet is more addictive than TV.

Tv and internet the two headed snake! Chop!

I can no more restrain myself, train myself, time myself, so I have to get rid of the whole shebang.

Good luck, God Bless You.

Well Mark, we all have a free will to make choices in life, and sometimes you really have to have a very thick skin to participate in the forums. As for as Facebook, I've never jumped on that train, my discernment showed me to let that train pass from the beginning. Personally I think when folks come here and want to start A great theological discussion, you see not many show up, just the same old few. If these great theological professors on here would spend their time with basic Bible teaching, it would probably draw more of a crowd. I'm not impressed by how much anyone knows the bible, heck old sluefoot knows it better than all of us, but I am impressed by how much people know God. Neils Mom passed, that thread received 332 views, and 10 replies, this should tell you something about were the body of Christ has gone, it's all about self, "2nd Timothy 3:2" [narcissistic, self-focused] but God said this will happen. I have your email and will stay tuned.

And not only that, Mark once took my advice to apologize to my friend who is closer than a brother publicly on Sermon Index.
Humilty is a good trait that only a few besides myself posses. (just kidding)

Yes, I do likewise....

Doctrinal discussions - I generally leave to males because they love to split hairs and I don't! :-)

Take a break and then come back - it will be new for you if you do...I did and just learned Neil's mom died - sigh! Got to go look for that thread.

God bless.

I will remember you and your family brother Mark and understand and respect your decision. I also agree with the others sentiments as well.

Thanks brothers and sisters, it really is a good community here. I am sure I will be back one day, God bless you all.

Hey Mark,
May the Lord bless you! I agree with much of what you said. Fact is, New Testament Body fellowship as laid out in the scriptures and comments on a forum thread are NOT the same thing at all. You can't replace the one with the other. I had not been on the forums for several years & felt led to get on here to post a specific thing to support our persecuted brethren & then spent a pretty substantial amount of time on here in threads concerning God's plans for Israel, the prophets, eschatology, etc. as I noticed it to be a large part of the posts at that time (& it just so happened the Lord had been having me study & pray much on these subjects for the last few months in depth at that time). Anyways, there are many posts I may have a comment on, or may want to share the comprehensive scriptures on, but honestly, I just don't have the time. I may not even check SIF for days at a time "normally" & frankly, with a sales career to support my family, a wife, 7 kids (from a newborn to teenagers), Prayer time, Bible time, study, fellowship with friends & brethren, the great commission, etc. that's the way it should be. 😊 Anyways, I pray you are well, that your inner man would be strengthened by the Lord, & that whatever your current struggles/trials are concerning family/ministry/etc., May God help you & lead you according to His Spirit.
God Bless,
Jeff

brother mark,

It is sad to see you go from participating as you brought alot to the forums here. But trust this is the Lord and it will help you obey the Lord more in your life (James 1:22).

I do believe the discussions can be as fruitful as we can make them and allow them to be, just like a conference call it is what is "put" in. If discussions where slowly and very thoughtfully and prayerfully contributed to they could be become much more valuable.

Feel free to re-contribute anytime brother.

ps brother an excellent message:
