Saints,

The main goal and vision of the meeting is to encourage believers in North America to connect, meet and gather in house church small gatherings. As part of this intention many house church leaders and house church networks have shown interest to participate. We also see this as a time of unity and a place where the Holy Spirit can connect us as fellow believers. We desire this to be a time of encouragement and equipping, and a place where believers can meet and learn more of what it is to be a part of the vibrant witness and fellowship of house churches around the world.

Anyone is invited to the gathering time and they do not have to be meeting in a house church. We pray it can be a time to encourage believers to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ (James 1:22).

Note: SermonIndex is endorsing these events as good places to go to connect with like-minded believers, find fellowship to start meeting, start prayer gatherings, small house meetings etc. We encourage saints to attend these meetings in replacement of the annual SermonIndex events.

just to underline that this time is for meeting towards Jesus Christ and having fellowship with saints, you do not "have" to start a home meeting but you will be encouraged by gathering with other sincere disciples of Jesus!

I have every hope and intent to be there.

My hope for the meeting? To be an encouragement just by being present, not by saying anything. :)

To hear from God through the experiences and testimonies of other brothers and sisters.

To pray with and for others who meet in homes.

To be a beneficiary of such prayer by others.

To listen --- listen --- and listen. Did I say listen? :)

And, to some degree, to rejoice. I thank God that He has given to us even in the smallest little measure in human eyes this treasure of meeting in our home. We are weak. We are aged. We are not all fully convinced of the times to come. But, we keep meeting and we keep seeking and we keep waiting and we all have a common sense that God is actually developing us as a local body of Christ. We are far more concerned with obedience and love for one another than we are with how many of us there are, but we ache and long for others to know as well. I'm at a place where I NEED to rejoice and to believe there is a reason to rejoice in this particular context.

So, I come empty. I come hungry. I come with a holy urgency in my soul to be united in love with other believers of like hearts. I'm checking my pet doctrines and understandings at my own back door and I'm not even bringing them with me. :)

Lord, speak to your people.

Hi Brother,
You may want to contact Bro. Forrest for that information. There are so many here in the ATL area; I can name 3 off the top of my head that are right down the street from me in Smyrna, but I'm sure you'll want to stay as close as possible to the gathering.

Rene, you live close to Smyrna? I live in Smyrna as well. I am organizing a small gathering in Smyrna every week on one of the weekdays. We have around 6 to 8 committed people (living in the same community) and other visitors who come time and again. Would love to host some one from SI as well. At this point we are having just 8 meetings in North America but God willing if the Lord leads we could host meetings in many countries. If you start to meet in a house meeting mid-week with just 2-3 other saints that can be a great place to start to gather under the Headship of Jesus. Yes brother still part of Atlanta CFC. This I posted regarding the small home fellowship that God is building in the community I live. But I do not have any intention as of now to see it built as a Church as people who attend including me are already committed to other churches.

I will attend this gathering on June 18th. Would love to meet people from fellow SI family!

Enjoyed meeting Renee and Sreeram today and so many others.

Could only attend one session, but was very encouraged by it. Liked their method of Bible Study, will apply the same in my house meeting. Would be nice if some of the people from Smyrna whom I met could attend the weekday house meeting that I have started.
