Hey Y'all, remember several weeks back when my car died and I needed another one; so I asked for prayer from y'all? I had taken it to a mechanic who said no need to even try to fix it, it's finished. From then until now, practically 2 months, I stayed home 98% of the time. My few friends said "how can you stand it? You've never complained and always said "it'll be here when it's supposed to" never wavering." All that was true! I can very honestly say that this was the first trial I've ever experienced that I never felt one moment of anxiety or doubt. I couldn't understand how that was happening in me but it was! That, in it's self was a HUGE miracle. One friend said to me "you can't just keep depending on other people to give you a ride every time you need one. You know that even the Bible says God helps those who help themselves." I said back to her "that's a lie. God says that He helps those who depend on Him." About 3 days later, my daughter called and said a mechanic she knew and trusted was going to come to my house and look at the car for me. The next day he came, poked around in it and said "you need a new water pump, thermostat and timing belt and that should do it. It took about 3 times coming over here to get the work done. He had to wait until after he got off work and then drive over which was about 35 miles one way. During our time together, I sat out on my back porch and talked to him about Jesus. He had a lot of questions and I had a lot of answers. When the time came to take a test run he said "I've really enjoyed our conversations. I want to know God like you do. The car is good to go for now but in the future it still needs a little more work. Call me in a month or so and I'll come back." He tried awful hard to refuse to take any money AND my daughter paid for the parts. I insisted that he take some at least for his gas and told him not to worry because Jesus would reimburse me. A couple days later I got a check in the mail for almost the exact amount I gave to him. (It was from Walmart to settle up on a problem I had with them.) God gave me many miracles for just one, broken down car! I immediately started to cry, being so overwhelmed with God's love for me.
Sorry this was so long but I just had to tell you the whole story.
AND, if it's God's will, He pays the bill.
Hope you were as blessed by all this as I was.
Love to you all!
Judy
