Britain leaving the EU

docs Jun 24, 2016

I have hardly even noticed they were going to vote on this. And they chose to leave! I read now where many folks seem to just be fed up with being dictated to. That may not be the entire reason for leaving but another seems to be folks there are tired of the swell of immigrants coming to their nation and altering much of what they once knew and grew up with. I'm not anti-immigrant as such, legal immigrants that is. I wonder what all this means.

This has been an issue ever since England joined the EU. There have rumblings that have shown up all over English media. Especially over the last couple years, the immigrant problem has been key. I suspect the immigrants from former colonies lead into this perhaps some brethren from the UK can provide more background.

As Art commented several times when contrasting American and English culture, he said that English were generally parsimonious as compared to the common American offering of large servings. I noticed Japan is similar and has similar high prices. It might have to do with the island nature of the culture knowing the limits of their resources.

Doc, beloved brother,

I woke at 1:30 to read of the outcome of "Brexit", I have been waiting and watching of this days for months now.

Upon seeing the outcome, a chill came over my mind, body and soul....NOT because of the OUTCOME of a free vote of the will of the people, but because I cannot DISCERN what lays ahead GLOBALLY because of this vote, what ripples it will set off, only a chill came over me.

FULL DISCLOSURE: if I was a subject of the Crown, I would have voted to leave the EU.

I have worked and lived in England, in the late 80's early 90's, always felt at home, (albeit with a sense of dis ease that there was no 2nd Amendment as the 2nd Amendment is FOUNDATIONAL to the all the other Bill of Rights. I am absolutely intractable when it comes to support of the 2nd Amendment, and view opponents of the 2nd Amendment as enemies of a free republic with a Bill of Rights)

in regards to the UK, I have many dear friends, but NOST importantly, almost all of my "fathers" and mentors of this Most Holy Faith, all are from the UK, Len Ravenhill, Duncan Campbell, Evan Roberts, Ian Paisley, etc.

my heart is at unease.

Look at what happened to Greece after joining the EU and look how well the independent countries are doing like Switzerland. Look at what has happened to our fishing industry. I did not vote on financial consderations though.

It worries me greatly for the future, that an unelected group have so much power, asnd morally, I think that European influence is bad. It might be rocky for some time but new trade will soon begin to take effect.

Don't know what long term effects will be but Gold jumped like 5% after Brexit decision today in one day (+$65)!

After what you have gone through that is no surprise..........oh you mean what has happened in England.

You certainly have the right of conscience to vote as you did for leaving. No problem. I am beginning to wonder sometimes if perhaps certain states in this union may want out again but the victory in the former Civil War made that illegal. But how far does passive moral resistance for conscience sake go before it is impelled to begin to take concrete measures to separate? I'm not speaking of Christian separation from the world which is a given but physical separation from this union of states long united. I'm not urging anything but just thinking out loud. We know that all things that can be shaken will be shaken once again

sermonindex Jun 24, 2016

The world was shaken today. The vote in Britain to leave Europe is highly significant and I believe has prophetic consequences. Put your seat-belt on folks. There is a stirring in the world and an air of rebellion against all things established. It is a rejection of the old order. There is a new world order coming...........bro Fran

OK I will give you my take on it as a Brit who strongly believes we should leave the EU.
But first let me say that as a Christian I see myself as part of the Kingdom of God and no earthly Kingdom, nation or union can or should sway me for either good or bad. I belong to and serve another King!

So to 'Brexit'. The majority of the people I know, be they Christians, work colleagues or family were of the 'Leave' position. Before the vote, although I believed that the majority of people in the UK were in favour of leaving, I did not believe the 'powers' who control this world would let the UK leave. It would upset their plans. You could see this right through the vote campaign. The amount of bare face lies and panic you could see coming out of the remain politicians was astounding. In particular coming from people such as PM Cameron, who previously (supposedly) had a Eurosceptic stance.

Anyway, the people voted (one of the biggest turnouts ever) and to the shock of the establishment the leave vote won. I was quite surprised as I was sure the 'ruling powers' had fixed it somehow to 'Remain'. I still think they did, as 52% for leave does not seem to reflect what I felt was a much larger percentage of the population in favor of leaving.

So where are we now? We have not left yet and we have not even given any official notice to the EU that we intend to leave. First PM Cameron says he will resign when they vote another PM in and any move on leaving would not start until then, which could take until October. Now even the prominent leave campaigners in the government such as Boris Johnson are backtracking and saying things like ' the leave vote was not all that overwhelming' and 'we will still have a close working relationship with the EU on everything but the European court of law'.

So I think despite the vote to leave, the 'powers' who rule this world will deceive us all and let us think we are leaving, when all the time they are working to make sure we stay firmly inside the system. Nothing will change!

Do not put your trust in governments or any politician, they are just puppets in this world system that want to control mankind for their own purposes and ultimately they serve the 'the god of this world'.
However we look forward to an eternal kingdom and serve the only sovereign, righteous King of kings.

"Since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear." (Heb 12:28).

Perfectly stated Dave. I was waiting to hear from you in this thread and topic. Perfectly said.

Dave

I have had my suspicions that things are not as they seem. One thing that has stuck in my mind after hearing it years ago, was that there is a clause which gives the government the right to take savings including gold from the public, if a desperate situation arises financially in the UK. Don't forget that we are not citizens with citizen's rights, but are subjects.

Due to the financial turmoil, many are seeking a safe haven for their money and have been required for a number of years to give their names and addresses when buying or selling gold and silver.

It makes me wonder. But as you say, those if he who are in the kingdom have good and silver that no man can take from us and our kingdom is above.

sermonindex Jun 27, 2016

I agree with what you said, Dave.

Two parties in marriage might want a divorce, but until the papers are filed, no such divorce takes place. Much manipulation is now taking place in Britain and the power (votes) of the people look like they may be ignored. But, it is interesting to see worldwide, what people are in favor of. They are always in favor of personal freedom and less taxes (monetary confiscation).

I was hoping the EU would allow Britain to leave faster than Britain allowed the new American colonies to leave the British Empire. It seems the struggle is just beginning and may be put down by the global elite. That won't surprise me.

sermonindex Jun 27, 2016

The EU is socialism; a dying socialist basket case. Britain getting out of that should mean they have to do less money printing to support the dying socialism, so the pound should have strengthened on the news. But it went down. What?

The pound should have become stronger, another safe haven, thus, there should be less demand for gold, the only true safe haven, and thus, gold should have gone down.

I can't imagine that a bunch of EU socialists saw Britain leaving, got scared, and decided to jump to gold. They are socialists. Thus, they are not only clueless, but hate gold by definition.

Who would have woken up and decided to buy gold? Gold buyers remain far below 1% of the population in monetary terms.

So, what is going on?

I see this as more market manipulations.

I see this gold move up, and the pound down, as nothing more than a tantrum by the Rothschilds. It seems to me that they are trying to send a signal to punish Britain for their vote.

I see the vote as both a win for less government and more capitalism.

However, there is a dark side. Why was this needed to be voted on at all? That there had to be a vote shows a colossal failure. If there could be a vote to exit, then can't there be a vote on it again in 5 years to re join? The vote was close. This means that the Rothschild Globalist Bankers simply have more propaganda to do to re-vote and win their cause.
There should not ever have to have been a vote on this. In systems of rights, people don't get to vote away rights. Nobody gets to vote on whether or not to torture little Timmy to death, because that's morally wrong no matter what. Nobody should be able to vote to take away gun rights, because the right of self defense is a self evident truth given by God pre existing for hundreds of years before the formation of the united States, not guaranteed nor protected by the Constitution, but only recognized by the Second Amendment.

Seen in those terms, the Brexit vote victory is a colossal failure. In California and in many states, the people voted overwhelmingly against the gay agenda; saying no to gay marriage. But these votes were overturned by the courts anyway.

How long will it be until some unelected judge is bribed in some court case to overturn the Brexit vote? What if it's some far away judge in an international court? How's that going to play out?

But, I have more bad news from common sense every day insights that nobody mentions.

The United States is a secret member of the EU.

What is the point of the EU in the first place? It is this common currency thing, which basically means that the economically strong nations have to bail out the socialist weak nations by doing more money printing.

What happened in 2008? The Federal Reserve made hundreds of billions in loans to all the big banks across Europe who bought the failing home based backed bonds.

My point is that the money printing to support socialist spending has not stopped.

There has been a stream of prophecy over the years saying that the UK (Great Britain) will leave the European Union.

I don't believe Rothschilds and Bilderbergers throw tantrums. I also don't believe the Brexit was a surprise. In fact, I quite feel as if the entire matter is their own doing.

When they throw "tantrums", many die.

Fascinating post Julius. I don't see how the pound could have strengthened at the moment though, but l am not an economist! Surely there would be a widespread loss of confidence? It did recover a little. Gold is rising but not by leaps and bounds, but then, people are not buying low so probably is not going to soar.

I am seeing the possibility of a rejection of the vote.
