He received the love of the truth and is not warring against Beth Moore but warring against lies.

Savannah, I get it. Does that make me a cessationist? I believe that the Holy Spirit in us testifies of the truth, which is the word of God. Anything that the Holy Spirit does is inside the perimeters of the scriptures. No wonder, He wrote (inspired) them.
I never thought of myself as a cessationist since I believe that the HS personally leads and inspires believers, and that could include the gifts also...

Thanks Lisa, l only got to listen for 12 minutes as l don't like that style of preaching as it is hard on my neuroinflammation problems, and nothing against Beth, but it was obvious that the preacher who wished to destroy her reputation was twisting her words by omitting some of her points.

When he made her out to be saying that she wanted God's actions to be as they always have been, she was in fact speaking against that view.

He said that he found Beth creepy, but l found his manner and obvious misogenysm and diatribes against female but not male prophets much creepier.

What Beth said is true, the scripture says that those who hunger and thirst will be filled and that they will suffer persecution even from their own kindred. It does not take a prophet to declare that.

As for ecumenicalism, perhaps if he and others showed loving concern towards those who are misled instead of condemnation, they might listen.

This is not about Beth Moore or the people criticizing "her". It is about how we test the spirits. I have listened to the above linked presentation, and obeying 1 John 4:1-3. I am not criticizing Beth More or her views, I do not know her. I am testing the spirit that is represented in the linked speech for the purpose of deciding whether I should believe it or not.
This spirit does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
I also use my understanding from the Bible about who the Holy Spirit is.
He is the one who glorifies Jesus Christ. (John 16:14) This spirit does not glorify Jesus Christ. I also use my understanding of revivals from sermonindex that true revivals are characterized by God being glorified, confessions of sins, changed lives, devotion to the Lord etc. This coming revival as this spirit says will be branded as false by those who have certain expectations of what a revival should be. This spirit says that the test of this coming revival will be that it endures. My bible says that the test is the fruits. This spirit implies that we judge our participation in this new move by the reaction of others (i.e. if we are persecuted we are good) But my bible says it is good when we are persecuted FOR HIS NAME. This spirit does not say at all that the bible can be used to test the autenticity of this coming revival, it actually says the exact opposite.
I understand that the popularity of this teacher causes concerns in Christian the same way as cheap grace teachers's does. Since we are exposed to all kinds of teachings all the time we need to learn how to test the spirits. We use the bible, and our knowledge of the truth from the holy spirit who testifies of the word of god.

This article talks about a false revival coming, maybe the same one that she (BM) talks about as real.
The idea of a false revival is explained from the bible, and there are many good points about the coming deception. There are parts in the article that I do not agree with because I have different end time views, and I am not sure that some of the ideas are not "read into" the biblical text...

I thought this was a very interesting quote from JPL and she provides scriptures worth thinking about and giving serious prayer and study to.

I've never thought before of the danger that lukewarm christians face that they can be "revived" in a false way. And we need to strengthen them through sound doctrine, and pray for them. I was one of those before and got strengthened by godly peaching of the word by some preachers on sermonindex...

Okay. So what is the fuss here? I have listened to the YouTube that Lisa posted. Granted I'm not into Beth Moore. And I'm certainly not into maybe her particular style of teaching. But she talks about thirsty people needing Christ.

So where is the so-called false Revival that's being talked about here? Where is his faults counterfeit doctrine that she is supposedly proclaiming?

I'm curious.
