What about Deborah?

On another thread you made a comment on the man of God's mention of Deborah.
That man of God said nothing more about Deborah than what the Scripture declares.
If he had opportunity to expound upon Deborah and the circumstances surrounding her, he'd be in agreement with what is stated here in this message.
Give it an ear, and don't cut the man of God off after only listening to one fourth of the message.
If you'd have listened all the way to the end of the other message your post may have been somewhat different.
The speaker early on was critical of Deborah occupying the position as a judge. He was very dogmatic about it. Reckon I should have made a note of it where it appeared in the audio but I was not expecting to hear that. Then I decided to not waste my time listening to it.

Here is what the man of God in the message from the other thread said in regard to Deborah,
"Many people will talk about Deborah being a judge, but Deborah became a judge at an apostate time in history, it's the book of Judges, it's a time in history when Israel was disobedient to God, and Barak was so such a coward that he said he wouldn't go to war without Deborah going with him. God never intended for Deborah to lead that nation, it was resulted, watch it now, the abdication of men fulfilling their God ordained responsibility to rule and to lead."
No more no less was said in regard to Deborah.
If you would like to hear what that man who said the above words thoughts would be regarding Deborah, why not give the message in this thread a listen! I will tell you that I myself would say the same in regard to Deborah as this man says in this message, namely that she was "a godly woman."
If you read his words,the person he was critical of was not Deborah but Barak.
When there was a judge in Israel, they were people whom God used to direct the civil affairs of the people, hence Baraks' asking for advice. To suggest it was wrong for him to do so I believe it to be a stretch. Nowhere does Scripture fault him for doing so. Understand what I am saying?
In hindsight, perhaps I should have listened to this entire sermon, but when I heard the first part it reminded me of what I used to hear a lot when I was a young woman: "All church problems are the result of women stepping out of line." Well...! Today, I am 69 years (young?) and with the exception of one - all the church problems our church had to wrestle with dealt with males. The one where there was a lady it involved embezzeling/stealing/lying and she was then excommunicated - or almost - she resigned her membership just a moment before this happened. You see, it gets wearisome to hear how women are so bad but men - you never hear them singled out for reproof. But maybe this speaker did not do that...Just telling you what we have seen and experienced and my reaction.
