How should we pray in this perilous hour?

I

Just wanted to post some notes from a season of prayer a few years back, thought it might be of some encouragement to someone here;

Luke 23:27-31 - Weep for yourselves and your children.

We're entering a time of our own cross, and we're not prepared. The Body of Christ is not even standing firm in a green tree, what shall we do in the dry? Weep for the church, cry out for mercy!

America is a kind of Goshen for Christianity, but God wants to take us from Goshen to glory. God raised up Pharoah to move the people from Goshen, otherwise they would have never left that land. So God permitted bondage so that they could eventually see glory in the promised land.

God takes away the certainty of tangible things to bring us by faith into His unspeakable glory. God wants men whose hearts are set on Him.

Cry out for mercy and grace, let us call out in confidence. He's taking us from a place of plenty to a place of need so that He can demonstrate His loving-kindness through us.

In Christ,
