(Greg, I am not sure under which forum to post this, so I am putting it here...if you want to move it, that is OK.)
Recently I acquired the book "The Pastor's Wife" by Sabina Wurmbrand and "Escape From the Grip" by Judy Wurmbrand, Sabina's daughter-in-law. I suspect I may have read them many years ago but if I did I forgot most of it. Reading now is like I am seeing things with new eyes, new understanding and I am at times shocked, horrified, blessed by turns. Some of the info shared in these books read like they are describing current situations in the USA, especially Judy's book.
I would like to post some excerpts from these books to whet your interest so you will acquire them for your self and read them in its entirely. My copies of these books were printed in 1972 -"The Pastor's Wife"- and "Escape..." in 1979. Later editions may be a tad bit different.
I have read books authored by males who detail their prison experiences but few by females who lived through communism persecution. Sabina shares details I have never heard of before and I am left shaking my head...
If anyone else wishes to post excerpts from these writings please do so. I do not know how much I can get done but hope it will be enough to encourage you to see what they have to say and perhaps it will teach us what we may well experience in our own country in the not too distant future.
Sandra
