Very Interesting thread..
The United States Constitution is a very well thought out document with it's limitations on Government powers and rights for it's citizens.. Many of us that live in America, live under the benefits of that Government. ( and in truth Jefferson and a little part to play in it)
However since this Government is based on a republic,( where by elected representatives make laws for states and the nation) so people are the power source of our nation. Our constitution opens with "We the people", signifying that people are foundation of our government..
"We the People" sounds great, but in those first 3 words, spell the doom for the nation, for where the people go so does the nation.
George Washington comments "[T]he [federal] government . . . can never be in danger of degenerating into a monarchy, and oligarchy, an aristocracy, or any other despotic or oppressive form so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people."

George Washington was very right in this matter, In Kingdoms, Kings and rulers brought the nation into prosperity or into desolation. In democracies it's up to the people. At the time of the writing of the constitution many believed in the morality of the Bible at least,( but how slavery existed for so long is proof of man's sinful heart and the failure of the Church in the south to preach God's Word) but today morality is shunned. so..
In the end our Government was built on the sands of populace not on the Rock of God's Holy Word. Again, this nation is lead by the wisdom and morality of the people.
To those in America, train up your children, prepare them for persecution, dont let them be surprised when they get cast into prison, fired from jobs, labeled hypocrites,and rejected for their faith. Please reminded them of their King and there real home. Our children will bear the burnt of the coming onslaught.
May God's Church rise up and preach and turn the hearts of the people back to God.. May God's grace turn the Hearts of the wicked to faith in Christ. May God restore the backslidden, and may this nation be a light of Christianity. May God Strengthen his Bride
