Sooo What is the Word of God?

The bible is the Word subscribed.

Jesus is the Word alive.

In our lives with Him, through the Holy Spirit, we walk out the Word applied.

I just totally made up and it is probably less valuable than my coffee from the store next door.

The word of God is... Eternal Life
The word of God is... Spirit
The word of God is... Food for His children
The word of God is... Living
The word of God is... Truth
The word of God is... Love
The word of God is... Healing
The word of God is... Hope
The word of God is... Salvation
The word of God is... The only thing that matters in this life or the next~

The Word of God is the will of God spoken forth, and clothed with flesh in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is God's final Word to man...

I will try to answer,as The Lord has taught me,...please bear
with me.
Gods Word is Spirit- [ual] ,so it is understood through The Spirit. ("The Words that I speak unto you,they are Spirit,
and they are life.")
God' Word is His Name,...the Whole counsel of God,...everything that is in / stands for / meaning of that Name
Whether written,...1Tim.3:16, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,and is profitable for doctrine,for reproof,for correction,for instruction in righteousness,...) or The Word that coming forth out of His mouth,....His Breath coming forth.

We know that The Word says,that God is invisible,He is
The Word / Spirit, ( That is what The Holy Spirit is that we receive of / from Him.(Down in us,...it is like a fountain of Living Water,...The Spirit,.../ Live / Life Word, that flows up,within us as He See's our need.)

So,..We fill ourselves up with His written Word,...because The Lord,when His Grace comes,drawing us to Himself,...it causes
us to become hungry for His Word,.And we are sooo blessed...
...Because in the day of Paul,they,...as we know,did not have
all The written Word,in their day,that we have now,...( Paul,
John,Peter,Luke,..etc,etc....)God revealing Himself to these
Disciples ( learners ) ,.. /..Apostles.( sent out ones )

We remember,Paul told Timothy,..1Tim.4:13, (Paul,instructing Timothy) "Till I come,give attendance to reading,...to......"

Please,Bro.,do not think that I am talking down to you,...or anyone else here,...or as a know- it-all,...because we know that we have/ or know nothing,as we ought,except He teach us....And what He gives to us,..it is not ours,but it is He that has so graciously given,..and nothing that we deserve. We are just passing it on to help us as we hope to help others also.

Now !
Jesus' Father is / was The Word,...The Spirit-Word,...that
impregnated Mary,...part of Jesus'very fiber is The Spirit- Word,..His Father,...born of His Mother,Mary.

So when Jesus spoke,...to everyone,...us included,...
He was obedient,and gave honor to His Father,..speaking
only His Father's Words.
Also,When He spoke,He did not want us to see Him, (Jesus),...( the emphasis was to 'look / hear / His Word',..what "I Am" saying to you. That is why,We cannot have Jesus,without The Word,or else it will be 'another Jesus'..

We know,that Jesus lived,all of His earthy life,..dead to to self-life,and Alive to His Father,God.(which is true Life )

He offers us this Life,and that more abundantly,
if we will not choose to let His Words fall to the ground,and
use our words instead.

All excellent replies and not really necessary to add to but when you think about what/who is the word of God is almost inexhaustible just like the names of Jesus.

This can actually be fun so I will throw a couple into the hat.

The Word of God is the whole counsel of God necessary for the salvation of men through the revealed person and doctrine of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

The Word of God is Genesis 1:1 - Revelation 22:21

Agreed Blaine, there really is no wrong answer when you think about it. I agree also about the Word being Jesus as well, as I tell people that the Word of God is a Person.

When you think about it every book is Jesus, like our body is made up of many members (parts), and the Body of Christ is made up of many members (people) every book of the bible makes up Jesus.

I do not want to derail the OP and have another thought of what/Who is the Word of God to throw into the hat in a minute.

Just to clarify, I would consider myself a NT Christian, who believes in the NT model of the church that is led by the Holy Spirit.

However, some people believe that only the red letters in the four gospels, Acts, and Revelation make up the person of Jesus.

I remember a dear brother who used to teach a small group of us in our home church did an amazing series on "Preaching the Gospel from the Old Testament" some years ago.

He actually laid out the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ using the OT and I never really considered how not only the NT makes up the person of Jesus but every single book both old and new.

Every book has the DNA of Jesus and testifies of Him. This proved to be very helpful in witnessing to Jewish people. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the scales fall from their eyes and SEE the very person of Jesus Christ who was always there, whom they had read past many, many times, and never saw Him(tears).

So here is another thought I have pondered for many years, if I were to sum up what/who the Word of God is in one word, Jesus being Numero Uno, how about calling It/Him "Reconciliation"?.

Again, no wrong answers at all, hope others are willing to play.

*It is love,because God,Who is The Word,is love.
But how is He / 'The Word' love?..
It is not His will that anyone perish.

*It is Spirit...The Alive,Life,..quickening,in 'The Word / Spirit'

*It is The I Am....Whatever He says,above all,the all and all..

*It is The Father.....

*It is Above all Voices....When He,God,Who is 'The Word' speaks it is done...it happens,...comes to pass,....
*It, 'The Word' (God) is Almighty...

Prov.15:33," The fear of The Lord is the instruction of wisdom;..

*It is knowledge,....of Him,....to get to KNOW Him,....

*It is counsel,...but how and why does He council us?..
He councils in 'the way' of Life....the path,...the walk..

Also i think when some one works within the gift prophecy to preach or predict and expund scripture ,,this would also be concidered the word of god ,tho subject to error ,,also the word of knowlage ,and the word of wisdom expressed as the gifts of the spirit ,are also the word of god ,tho this may be exrabiblical manifestation....
