This is a Roku SE streaming device. It connects to your internet connection via wireless or ethernet, and to your TV by HDMI cable. Roku makes various devices from $35-100 depending on how simple you want to get. We have this last year Christmastime promo device that is the same as the original Roku basically. We also have a Roku stick on another TV. Set up on these is simple by following onscreen instructions. Know your wifi password. :)

This is the remote. You can also download an app to your smartphone to make it a remote. I prefer the app. You don't have to aim the phone at the Roku. :)

The home screen after set up. You have a number of preset channels in the device. There is a channelstore. Zillions of free content channels, lots of paid channels too. All sorts of content, much of it vulgar is available. Just don't go there. TONS of Christ-oriented content available for free. Use good judgment.

You see where I added the SI channel. In the next two images. SI used InstantTVChannel to create theirs. It is a VERY POPULAR way to create and upload your own channel on Roku. Free to very pricey depending on your use. Probably need some level of experience and knowledfe to load a channel. Not very user friendly to set up a channel for newbies. I know I can't.
