What is man's "highest"?

sermonindex Sep 11, 2016

Brother appollus,

Your thread coupled with a Ravenhill sermon has "got me wondering" the following: (so much so that I have to list)

* Hell is a place where, indeed, "God IS dead...to YOU" (Nietzsche was unwittingly describing his own current and eternal state of torment)

* The ancient AND modern philosophers (I. e., Berkeley) were "obsessed" with proving their own existence as the "Grounding for the Metaphysics of Morals"...they could go no further into their godless ideals until they FIRST proved that "Esse est percipi" (To be is to be perceived)...HOGWASH!!!

* However, if you progress in your delusion into the modern age of philosophy, you encounter Kant's "Cogito ergo sum" (to BE is to think = I think therefore I am)...MERCY ME!!!!

* Apart from Kant's "rip-off" of the golden rule with his "categorical imperative" ("ACT according to the MAXIM whereby you can at the same time WILL that it become a UNIVERSAL LAW")...In Romans Chapter 1, Paul already dealt with the devastating outcome of even this Godless form of salvation.)...

* CONCLUSION...a godless man's HIGHEST is to prove his own existence...in which you "STILL" rely on God...imagine in Hell, how will these "existentialists" find comfort...without God's acknowledgement (even in the midst of the state of our own unrighteousness and disbelief)...When the Books are opened...they will lose God's acknowledgement...and struggle not only over their immorality...but even moreso...that they even qualify to participate in Creation...as a basic "object of perception"...the HIGHEST moral of a godless human (maybe)-being...how am I supposed to know...without God the Creator...

This is the dribbling of a babe in Christ and please treat it with the charming ignorance of such...

Love-in-Christ,

kyp
