A simple but powerful thought concerning sermon preparation

I saw this great word on a minister's forum. I had to share it. A much needed reminder for ministers.

"May the Word drive you to the pulpit; not the pulpit drive you to the Word."

I can always tell when a pastor develops messages from the Word vs using the Word to support a message he wants to give.

There is a subtle, but important, difference.
