I was privileged to see an advanced showing of "The City of the Great King" last night which is Part II of the film series "Covenant and Contoversy." It examined Jerusalem's past, present and future in light of Biblical prophecy and showed how the end of this age and the controversy surrounding Jerusalem are inextricably linked together. Of course the controversy of Jerusalem is inextricably linked to Christ Himself since He ascended from Jerusalem and it is there that He will return to. The principlalities and powers know this and therefore the ancient and present rage against Jerusalem being controlled by Jews. No one is so much against Jerusalem but are rather against Jews controlling Jerusalem. Many segments of Islam have declared Jerusalem to be its capital. It's a good film well shot and dialog from various commentators takes place throughout the film. Michael Brown and others make several comments and Art Katz and his testimony is interwoven into the plot of the film. At the end a tribute of several minutes is dedicated to Art and the influence he had on many people's lives. Art's daughter Sissy and her husband were in attendace and she was moved by the tribute included at the end of the film. That's one sweet lady. The film will be released to the general public in just a few months and I was very privileged to have been able to attend and see a early showing.
1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, "Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, "Desolate”;
But you will be called, "My delight is in her,”
And your land, "Married”;
For the Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So your sons will marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So your God will rejoice over you. (Isaiah 62:1-5)
