Anything, everything and nothing.
What kind of "book" do these people use? There doctrine is way out thereI don't think they really even have doctrines. Just a spirit. The spirit of antichrist.RT
quote:"I don't think they really even have doctrines. Just a spirit. The spirit of antichrist."You are correct that Unitarians have no doctrines. But the last blanket statement is judgemental and way over the top.I found this on a Unitarian website:Unitarians argue that Jesus is the "great exemplar which we ought to copy in order to perfect our union with God". This sounds like what Diane was getting at in the Seeker Who Jesus Refused to Save. Many very important thinkers, inventors and other people down through history were Unitarians, including Florence Nighengale, Clara Barton and Jane Addams and the list is way too long to present here. I don't agree with their position that Jesus was not devine--actually they have no position on it and quite a few Unitarians are Christians in spirit--but that doesn't put me in a position to be judging them and their relationship to God.I see Unitarians as seekers who won't follow a script. Give me an honest Unitarian over a shallow, in name only, Christian any day.Bubbaguy
I heard an interesting statement the other day. "No group with non-orthodox teachings on the Trinity has ever experienced a classic revival". Some of you with experience of the United Pentecostals might have some comments to make? By 'classic revival' I mean a sovereign manifestation of God's presence expressed in deep personal convicition for sin accompanied by a spirit of intercession. On the question of Jake's contribution... I would have expected Jake to support their rationalistic denial of inerrancy in the scriptures and their consequent cavalier attitude to propositional revelation. RT is right, this is another spirit. Unitarianism is one of the many antichrists. 1John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Hi Wayne,What kind of "book" do these people use? There doctrine is way out thereAre you referring to Unitarians or the folk out at Unity Village? Sometimes they get confused, but there are some differences. There are other "Unity" 'churches' in KC also. They are really a bad mix of New Age and Christianity. Prayer is more like TM. etc. God Bless,-Robert
