Bibleverses/chapters about God

I want to meditate (think) more about who God is. For this reason I want to memorise some verses/chapters.

Do you have verses/chapters that would be great to memorise and that show who God is? His omnipresence, Him being all powerful, that He is all knowing, that He is love, that He is Holy, etc. etc.

I would love to meditate on Him before I go to prayer :-)

1 Timothy 6:10-12 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1 John 4:11-12 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

2 John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I love this thread, and the heart behind it.

When Moses met God in the burning bush, God only gave him a small revelation of himself "I AM". When Moses returned after leading the people out of Egypt, he met God again on the mountain and God proclaimed this first self-revelation of who He is:

Exodus 34
5 Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, 7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

I think this is a great place to start since it is what God chose to say about Himself.

Also, anything Jesus said is a self-revelation of the Father, for "He who has seen Me has seen the Father".

Studying the tabernacle can be a great insight into the heart of God.

Prophets too...read the prophets...

Okay the Whole Counsel of God's Word! Sorry, I didn't narrow it down too much!

God bless you friend,

Deut 32:3-4
"For I proclaim the name of the LORD;
Ascribe greatness to our God!

"The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and upright is He.

Psalm 145

Isaiah 6:1-5
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!” And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”
