I just discovered Rev. Kuang and was so totally blessed by the first message that I listened to. What a feast!! Is there any biographical info available on him?

I had never heard Stephen Kuang's ministry but this morning I had to paint the fence so I have had a good feast listening to his messages on Spiritual Authority. This is by far the best treatment of the matter I have ever heard. Praise God indeed that these resources are so wonderfully avaiable in these days. I shall certainly want to listen to more.

A very brief discussion came forth from that and a mention of Stephen Kuang's message's being available here, the ties with Nee and so forth... Interesting that his name is Paul also...It is good to hear some recommends from the brethren here in this way, very refreshing. Thanks to all, perhaps some more discussion will result from this message in particular.

Stephen Kaung is 90/91 years old now, I think. He was one of the co-workers of Watchman Nee. A humble gentleman who has served the Lord for many years. Stephen Kaung is 90/91 years old now, I think. He was one of the co-workers of Watchman Nee. Indeed Stephen Kaung was a young and trusted co-worker in the Gospel with Watchman Nee. When the Communists took over China in 1949, Stephen Kaung, with a few other workers, left the mainland to encourage the churches in the Far East region.Stephen Kaung, was close to T. Astin-Sparks, and he shared the ministry at some conferences with TAS and DeVern Fromke in the 1960's.When in the US, SK settled first in NY where there was a thriving assembly linked with Honor Oak. It went well until SK was kind of thrown out of the assembly there. He then went to Washington DC, and finally settled in Richmond, VA.Despite his advanced age, he is still active and travels some. He was in Paris last year, and frequently goes to the Far East. But I have been told that he is becoming physically limited, and his travels are not as many as before.Manfred

Picking up a slightly old thread, I've been very blessed through the ChristianTapeMinistry site, since finding it 2-3 years back & hearing Brother Kaung as one of the prominent speakers there.Their strength is their focus on the building up of the Church in love, that the Bride would be prepared for the Father's Son.However, I feel their eschatology is too influenced by 19th century Brethren-ism.For my money, the only ministry that I need to soak in at this point, are the ChristianTapeMinistry speakers ( including Sparks, and a hidden gem named Ed Miller ... Dana Congdon and Lance Lambert are strong, too )and the ministry of Art Katz.These two streams of ministry are in opposition, in terms of end-times understanding.I hear the Spirit of the Lord in brother Katz, viz-a-viz the end times. I'm curious to hear from Brother Greg/sermonindex on any of your thoughts on the divergence, if you have any ... since I've seen your stated appreciation for Katz and Kaung.Thanksbaruch
