God's Love,Righteousness and Justice
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(John 3:16)
If you are going to view or use God's Love then you have to couple it with His Righteousness and His Justice.You can't just say that God is the God of Love and leave it there.His Righteousness and Justice go hand and hand with His Love.This verse contains His Love,Righteousness and Justice.God is Righteous and based on that He demands justice for unrighteousness.Then because of His Love for the human race He offers His Son to satisfy His Justice and made it possible to declare us righteous that accept His Son as our Savior.
God has proved to the whole human race,that they have failed in coming up to His standard of righteousness.
God sums up the final verdict on the whole human race,total condemnation with these verses in (Romans 3:10,11)
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God."
That's why God gave His Son as the sacrifice for sin.
Many use the "God of Love" to condone and justify their lifestyle and also to condemn anyone that states that their lifestyle is ungodly,but mostly they just reject the very idea that God can say that they are totally guilty before Him and are in need of His forgiveness and to be declared justified before Him and the only way to secure that forgiveness and justification is through the offering of God's Son on the cross and His raising Him from the dead and believing and accepting that.That is God's plan of salvation and that is the only way.
Many that just use "God of Love" don't recognize their need of God's forgiveness and their need of justification before Him.A God of love cannot save a person who will not receive forgiveness,because love does not love unrighteousness.If love tolerates unrighteousness true love would not be love.Love must punish injustice and sin.
True Love of God and the God of Love can only be viewed through the cross of Calvary.There the God of Love punished injustice and sin.If you don't see the need of what God provided on that cross through the death of His Son then you don't have the right to use God's love to try and justify your unrighteousness(which none of us have that right) or to attack a speaker that could be only sharing their love and God's love for you by showing you your need of God's forgiveness and justification.
Instead of seeing their total depravity before God and their need of God's forgiveness and to be justified before Him,I fear they will continue to attack the speaker rather than acknowledge the message.This is the trend today in many areas of life to attack the speaker rather than to accept the truth of the message.Don't let the pride of the life you live and your demand to condone it when deep inside you know that it is rebellion against God and that is why you lash out at anyone that disagrees with you.Don't let that pride keep you from knowing the true Love of God and the God of Love by rejecting His message of truth concerning yourself and your need for Him.
"For He hath made Him sin for us,who new no sin;that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (2Corinthians 5:21)
