A word from the Lord

(The Lord woke me last night with this, I got out of bed and wrote it down)

Revival does not come about because we desire to see something fixed, it comes about because we desire to see God.

Hi Staff,

I believe what the Lord saying to me was a constant. What I mean by that is that the Lord is not moved by circumstances, He is not reactionary in that sense. He is constant, He is never changing, He is immutable.

Often times we as individuals or as a Body are on a roller coaster ride of emotions and circumstances. Other times we are just dulled to the things of this life especially when we lose the passion of our first love. So, seeking God, desiring to see Him for nothing more than the desire to see Him, to encounter Him, to be swept away by Him, to be taken up by Him, this strong desire leads to personal and corporate revival. In the great faith chapter we read..........

Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 

Diligence is an interesting word. In the Greek it means to search out, to seek, to crave. When we do this we are rewarded by finding that which we seek.......bro Frank

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

"What would you advice this generation to do regarding revival?,should we forget the subject and concentrate on desiring God and let it happen if it happens and if it doesnt it doesnt.Yours Staff"

Yes I would Staff, I would focus on Jesus. The word revival has become a bit of an idol and there is a whole industry grown up around it. I have met many of the people in that "industry," and they are not bad people, just some of them caught up in the notion of it rather than the reality of Jesus.

An example I would give was a meeting I was at one time. I was leading the prayer and the Lord had come down in a beautiful way. Men and woman all around the church were standing waiting to pray with tears. The Lord was with us. Our time of with prayer was coming to an end but I felt very strongly in my spirit that it would not be right to stop what the Lord was doing because of a schedule. So I continued passing the microphone around and people continued to stand and cry out and pray. One of the moderaters was beside himself with anger because the speaker was ready to come on and speak about seeking the presence of the Lord in revival. Can you see the irony of that? When I kept on going they struck up the music. I got a hold of the microphone and told them in no uncertain terms to stop playing as the Lord was speaking. They did. The moderator stormed out and never spoke to me again.

Can you see the problem there with men and their schedules? It is not that I am against schedules but if the Lord decides to move then He must be preeminent in our meetings. And so my advice to any generation would be to seek the Lord with all of their hearts and not stop seeking until they find what they are desperately looking for, if indeed they are desperate................bro Frank
