Praying Thru Ramadan 2017

Brothers and Sisters,

Today is the first day of Ramadan. This is the start of the fast where Muslims will seek their god. Let our prayers be that they seek the true and living God.

Lord willing I will be sending out a prayer each day. These prayer points will be taken from the calendar that Open Doors has prepared to pray through Ramadan. These prayer points will also encompass the persecuted Church in Islamic Nations.

I pray these daily prayer points will help focus your prayers on the harvest of Muslim souls. But should you choose to use another prayer guide or just a pray on your own. During this month of Ramadan please pray that Muslims will find saving faith and life in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Day 1

Pray for believers who
are battling fear at the
thought of the Islamic
extremists throughout
their region. Pray they
gladly use their life and
death to glorify God.

Pray for those who
have come to Christ
but have not told
their families yet.
Pray for God to provide
guidance and peace.

Please also remember those believers in the Phillippines and Egypt who have recently come under jihadist violence.  

Please pray our brothers and sisters will know the aboundant comfort of Christ.

Please pray that those jihadists who are in the kingdom of darkness will be broight into the kingdom of light.  Let us pray these may know the true God of love through a relationship with Jesus.

Day 3 

In Eritrea, believers face
the choice of migrating
overseas or constantly
avoiding detection. Pray
that God would lead
them to individuals who
can help them, and pray
for them to be a witness.

Eritrea has been called the North Korea of Africa. Believers there are imprisoned in shipping containers and holes in the ground. Many of them have been imprisoned for years.  Yet they still refuse to recant their faith in Christ. Please keep our brothers and sisters in Eritrea in your prayers.  Please pray they stay hidden in Christ. 

Please continue to call out for the salvation of Muslims souls during this month of Ramadan. The recent violence by jihadists in Egypt and the Philippines testify of hearts that are still in the domain of darkness. Please pray that they will be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

Please pray for comfort of those who have lost a loved ones in the recent violence in the Philippines and Egypt. Pray that they will know the abundant comfort of Christ.

Please pray for the protection of our brothers and sisters during the month of Ramadan.  The angels of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him.

are forced to take part in
Ramadan rituals. Pray for
opportunities for them
to share their faith.

Please pray that these saints will be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Please pray that they will have wisdom in knowing how to share their faith in Jesus.

Many Christians in the
Middle East are forced
to meet in secret. Pray
for their protection and
encouragement during
this season.

Please pray that our brothers and sisters will stay hidden in Christ during this time of Ramadan.

Almost all Muslim Back-
ground Believers must keep their faith a secret, and many experience anxiety during Ramadan as they feel pressured to participate.

Pray for peace and courage for these secret believers.

Pray also for their continual protection as ISIS has declared a jihad against Chriatians during Ramadan.

Pray that God will change jihad hearts of hate to hearts of love.

There is a secret seminary
in Vietnam, training up
students in their faith.

Pray that God would
keep them safe during
their meetings, and for
authorities not to notice
the gathering.

Pray protection over discipling teams that train church leaders in underground churches in Islamic lands.

Please pray that much fruit will come from the preaching of the gospel during this time of Ramadan.

faith has not been
found out yet. As they
know they could face
humiliation or death
if found out, pray that
their hope would be
deeply rooted in Christ.

Pray that these Believers will know that Jesus in them is the hope of glory.

Pray that their lives would stay hidden in Christ.

An average of five churches are attacked each Sunday in Nigeria. Attacks typically
increase during Ramadan.

Please.......

ӢӢӢ Pray for God to convict the hearts of those executing these attacks. May jihadists have dreams and visions of Jesus. May hearts of hate be changed to hearts of love.

ӢӢӢ Pray for the protection of churches and secret fellowships throughout Nigeria and the Middle East. May angels encamp around their fellowships. May these precious saints stay hidden in Jesus.

ӢӢӢ Pray for Ministries such as Voice of the Persecuted and Open Doors who support missions in areas impacted by Boko Haram. Please pray that these ministries will have the resources to meet the needs of the displaced people.

My brothers and Sisters,

Tonight is considered to be a night of power for Muslims around the world. Though there is some confusion as to win the actual night of power is during the 2017 Ramadan. Consensus seems to be that tonight will be the night of power for many Muslims seeking their god.

Because of this I feel led to convene a special Persecution Watch call tonight. Asking those who may, to come and join me in calling out for Muslim salvations during this night as they are seeking their god. Below is an article encouraging us to pray for Muslims during thus special night. Also there will be suggested prayer points that follow the article and our call information.

Why should Christians pray during Ramadan?

The Night of Power, or Laylat al-Qadr, is the night during Ramadan that Muslims believe salvation can be granted. It's powerful because it is believed to be the night the Quran was first revealed to Mohammad. It is typical to pray and fast through the night, some Muslims even stay at the mosque until morning to pray. It is common to recite prayers extolling God as the one who saves and forgives, asking for him to forgive their sins. It is said prayers on this night are worth more than 1000 months of prayer. God often visits people with dreams and visions during this time.

The night changes each year, but it is typically believed to be the 27th night of Ramadan, which would be Wednesday June 21. This adds just another layer of confusion and fear for Muslims as they cannot even be sure whether or not they prayers were accepted.

We want to pray with and for our Muslim neighbors for dreams and visions of the One who offers complete salvation. We pray for them to know true peace and freedom through Jesus Christ.
