Second and Third Class Christians

D
deltadom Jun 1, 2017

it seems in so many churches because our churches have become popular preaching places which scratch to itching ears preachers who actually want to preach the word of God have not a chance.

It seems so hard and it seems impossible to preach if you dont say conform to the pre trib rapture and wont let you preach because you believe this doctrine.

James 2King James Version (KJV)

2 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

In some churches you have popular christians and those that are put on the back burners.

I feel like a second or third class christian

Dominic, what matters most is who you are in the LORD. Remember Joshua, no one wanted to listen to him in Kadesh Barnea and they took up stones. But he was able to enter the promised land. So continue the journey, be guided by the Good Shepherd and listen the HIS voice and Word.

Also remember Paul's words: At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be charged against them. 17But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me..2 Timothy 4:16, 17

May the Lord also stand by you and strengthen you, blessings !

Dominic Jesus was also rejected. He was even left alone by those He discipled. But His Father did not leave him.

In the religious system we will be treated as second and third class Christians it will be the religious system that will persecute him betray us. But there is a remnant that God is raising up. Pray that God would lead you to such a group. Even if you met with one or two other brothers. That will be an encouragement.

Likewise will also pray that God will strengthen and encourage you.

Dominic, I know what rejection by christians feels like. My most trusted christian friend wouldn't accept me as a christian. It still hurts.

Please know that I stand with you, and I trust many other people on this forum do too. Even though we may differ on our eschatology, it makes no difference to me. I love you brother.

Hi All,
In a way the pre trib rapture is a big doctrine and in another way its not at all.
Most Christians I know are pre trib believers or dont have an opionion or are not sure.I cant remember the last time anyone preached on pre tribulation in my Church if at all.
Alot of this is practical as well Post trib preachers travel in Post trib circles and Pre Trib preachers are the same usually mixing and preaching in Pre trib circles.
Whether we like it or not our tribulation views are a reflection of our Church views.Churches with a post trib view are not going to be inviting pre trib preachers and pre trib Churches are not going to be inviting post trib preachers;its not rejection of the word of God by either side its mainly just practical. If im a Pastor of a Post Tribulation believing Church am I going to invite a Pre Tribulation preacher to speak on the rapture?highly unlikely unless maybe in the form of a debate.Vica Versa If im a Pre Tribulation Church leader am I going to invite a Post Tribulation Pastor in to talk about getting ready for going through the great tribulation;highly unlikely. Its not rejection its just normal practice.

"THE RAPTURE: Many theologians are divided on this. I would hate to tell my kids & congregants, "Hey, don't worry about the coming tribulation you'll be out of here." But then have them see signs of the Antichrist and the one world government after my death. Not only will they start to doubt me and my teachings, but also the Bible itself. Pray for the rapture but be ready for tribulation."

Another thing that divides is the charismatic movement. I am not charismatic/Pentecostal. I don't speak in tongues or prophesy and refuse to do so. Believe me, many Christians who do so will not look at me as a Christian. On the other hand, I also find it hard to view them as Christians.

Jessie Penn Lewis wrote: War on the Saints, pg. 130-131) "The counterfeit presence of God is given by deceiving spirits, working upon the physical frame, or within the bodily frame, upon the senses. We have seen the beginning of this, and how the first ground is gained. It is deepened by these sense-manifestations being repeated, so gently, that the man goes on yielding to them, thinking this is truly ‘communion with God’””-for believers too often look upon ‘communion with God’ as a thing of sense and not of spirit””and here he commences praying to evil spirits under the belief that he is praying to God. The self-control is not yet lost, but as the believer responds to, or gives himself up to these ‘conscious’ manifestations, he does not know that his WILLPOWER IS BEING SLOWLY UNDERMINED. At last through these subtle, delicious experiences, the faith is established that God Himself is CONSCIOUSLY IN POSSESSION OF THE BODY, quickening it with felt thrills of life,or filling it with warmth and heat, or even ‘agonies’ which seem like fellowship with the sufferings of Christ, and travail for souls, or the experience of death with Christ in the consciousness of nails being driven into the bodily frame, etc. From this point, the lying spirits (demons) can work as they will, and there is no limit as to what they may do to a believer deceived to this extent. (Jessie Penn-Lewis)

I believe that the charismatic movement is demonic. One other controversial topic is the Arminian/Calvanistic debate. Calvanists love to call Arminians non-Christian. It doesn't go back the other way. Arminians seem more tolerant.

Jesse Penn Lewis was Pentecostal herself.

Her fame or notoriety came because she was what one called a thinking Pentecostal. She was not afraid to identify and call out and identify abuses and unscriptural manifestations that finally made their way into the Welsh revival. Yet she hardly threw out the baby with the bathwater. She was Pentecostal and spoke in tongues.

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him." (Luke 11:13)

If one has a sincere heart and sincerely asks our heavenly Father for the Holy Spirit they are not going to get a devilish manifestation. God Himself will personally see to it that they won't.
