Twitter and hatespeech

Twitter sent me an email informing me that a tweet of mine had been flagged for a possible violation of hatespeech. It seems to have originated in Germany. My guess is someone in Germany complained? The topic was about homosexuality and it being disgusting but there was not threat against it or homosexuals.

I wrote a blog about it posting both the email and what the Twitter conversation. I hope the link will post.

John, I don't know if you saw it, but there s a lot of graphic content on that page you linked to. Just checking to see if you caught that.

Yes, there is some graphic content on it but do you think the email was sent to me because of the entire thread or because of the first one that appears?

But the email itself is about hatespeech and not about graphic content. I didn't even think about the graphic content solely because I thought the email was referring to the first tweet that you see which is essentially the last tweet of the whole conversation.

John, I'm not arguing or disagreeing with any points here, just was seeing if you were aware. it goes to a blog page, I usually read the blogs when i'm sent to any page that has blogs, just a habit I guess.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. I was not aware of how graphic the rest of the conversation turned out to be so I put a warning on my blog about it. Thank you for bringing that up.
