What Jesus said that stirred your heart the most?

sermonindex Jul 8, 2017

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

What is/are Jesus said in New Testament that stirred your heart the most?

For me are:

1) But Jesus was saying, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. ~ Luke 23:34

-> This verse moved me to tears that Jesus had great love for these people crucifying Him.

.
.
.

2) Straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more." ~ John 8:10-11

-> It is amazing how Jesus saved the adulterous woman from stoning by saying just a one phrase against those people who wanted to stone her, and Jesus silenced them with that one phrase.

.
.
.

3) "..and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.' And they began to celebrate." ~ Luke 15:23-24

-> This is the story of the Prodigan Son, Jesus told. Imagine how the Father welcome his prodigal son with a great joy and love when he saw him coming back to him and repenting from what he has done.

I'd like to hear yours, Saints... Have a bless and joyful Saturday/Sunday (wherever you're in the world) to all of you! :)

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest (REVEAL) myself to him.

John 21:12 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast.”

Matthew 20:32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, "What do you want me to do for you?”

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

"If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me." (John 21:22)

-- Stop looking to other Christians (or sometimes so called Christians) why they do this and that, while you cannot do the same according to the light God has given you. Follow Me! I am responsible to live up to what God has given me as light from His word and not compare myself with other believers.

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me ”” just as the Father knows me and I know the Father””and I lay down my life for the sheep." (John 10:14,15, NIV)

-- I see here Jesus comparing His relationship with us, with His relationship with the Father! Just like that "I know my sheep and my sheep know me." Isn't that glorious?! Praise God!

"He who finds his life will lose it, but he who loses his life for My sake will find it."

That my whole heart would be set on eternity--then I would see a glimmer of Christlikeness!

The following verses reflect the awesome attraction Jesus has, and something similar happened to me when He was revealed in me by the Spirit:

As * he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). * He said to them, "Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.” ** They * left their nets immediately and followed him. * Going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a boat * with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. Then * he called them. They * immediately left the boat and their father and followed him.

A simple "Follow Me" from Jesus is enough to immediately leave all and obey!

Blessings,
