World Council of Churches Endorses Palestinian Protests Over Temple Mount Security Measures

(Worthy News) - The World Council of Churches (WCC) has declared its support for the Palestinian campaign against Israeli control of Jerusalem’s holy sites, describing new Israeli security measures at the Temple Mount as a "corrosive act in the midst of an already-fragile peace.”

"Keeping the historical status quo and supporting equal rights for Christians, Muslims and Jews at these holy sites is vitally important to maintaining peace and de-escalating violence,” said Fr. Ioan Sauca, acting general secretary of the WCC.

The WCC is a central promoter of the Christian "Kairos Palestine” document, which characterizes terrorist acts of "armed resistance” as "Palestinian legal resistance,” denies the Jewish historical connection to Israel in theological terms, calls to mobilize churches worldwide in the call for BDS, and compares Israel with the South African apartheid regime. ...

The latter day controversy of Zion is not going anywhere soon and will increasingly become the epicenter that threatens world peace. Many hearts are going to be sifted along with the church as lukewarmness and fence sitting because less tenible as to where one stands on the issue.

What did you expect? They are just another front to conquer you. Everything has been infiltrated, probably even this site. One world religion is their goal too.

The clamor over Jerusalem is visceral and visible for sure. It is as it should be, given the biblical revelation of the state of men's hearts and their desire to be either gods or enlarged status as "chosen by God". Jerusalem represents the full and final prize of earthly power in the eyes of men.

Make no mistake. Jerusalem is the object of every power broker's lust from the tip of the Temple Mount to Death Valley, California, to Mt. Everest; from the UN to Wall Street to Washington, Moscow, Beijing, London, Paris and Berlin. And everywhere else. When Satan tempted Jesus, it was from the pinnacle of the temple that He wanted Jesus to throw Himself from to gain His obeisance to evil.

Jerusalem represents the ultimate. If it can be tamed, Earth itself is subject to whomever tames it. Suddenly, the power that rules Jerusalem would proclaim that scripture is true, that Jerusalem IS that which the scriptures declare...the city of God, the stumblingblock and a stone of burden. Except this power would say "I am (we are) greater than Jerusalem." This power would say, "I am (we are) God." Eden's failed propsition all over again.

Why? Because if Jerusalem is a burden, Jesus is its champion. 1 Peter 2:7-9, Isaiah 8:14. He is the snare of the snare. He is the issue. He is the controversy. When the nations are said to get drunk on Jerusalem (Zech. 12:2) Jesus cautions in Luke 23 that in the time of the end not to be drunk.

We must not give rest to praying for Jerusalem. Isaiah 62. But, our true prayer for Jerusalem is for her king, Jesus, to come. He is the only right authority in heaven and in earth. We cannot be distracted over the sides of who we might favor regarding Jerusalem politics. We must stick to Jesus alone as having sole authority to speak as the ruler of that city. We must not settle for short of that on this side of His promise.

Lord Jacob Rothschild had admitted that his family were ‘crucial’ in the creation of Israel, in a Times of Israel interview.

[YNW] The 80-year-old Rothschild said in a recent interview that his ancestors "helped pave the way for the creation of Israel,” forcing the British government to sign the Balfour Declaration in 1917.

...and Darius was crucial in Judah returning to the land in the days of Ezra, BUT it was definitely God who sovereignly did this and predicted it 70 years before hand.

Same way, just because Balfour and Rothschild, etc were the tools used, God did it in His sovereignty as He foretold He would.

So Rothschild's involvement pushed God's sovereignty to the side? Balfour was a OT scholar but so what I guess. What did God have to do with anything?

I believe in Israel but I also believe that we are in the time when the third temple is going to be built maybe in ten years or so.

It was interesting as because Muslims banned themselves from the Temple Mount Area. So Jews had free reign to the Temple Mount Area.

God allows Satan to do many things and God often uses them for his purpose.

The intent in 1948 appears to have had evil connotations. The boundaries kept being changed. The Jews didn't get all the land originally promised. And besides it's time for the abomination of desolation to stand in the holy place again like it did long ago.

The lawless ones of Israel have signed over control to Rome, many of the old sites. Pope Francis and his entourage had communion in the site over King David's tomb. Put on his crown.

Obviously Satan wants Israel and his man in Israel.

The 1948 plan seemed good to all, just like the fruit from the tree of good and evil.

God has other plans and they are for another day. In Isaiah 11 he plans on bringing the House of Judah and the House of Israel back together at the return of Christ.
