Friends,About 5 weeks ago we sent you an urgent prayer request, asking for prayers on behalf of Nargis, a 22-year-old Kashmiri Christian woman who was kidnapped. She is one of the workers in Kashmir that we help.Many people replied to say they were praying for her, for which we are thankful. Then no news came for weeks, and we started to fear that she had been killed. On June 8 her coworkers suddenly received a telephone call from Nargis, saying she had managed to escape from her kidnappers momentarily and they were trying to do all they could to reconvert her back to Islam. She also said her captors had produced some fake documents claiming that she was married to one of them. This happens frequently to Christian women throughout the Muslim world. Nargis gave her location, and her family rushed there only to find she had already been moved to another place by her kidnappers.Now, just a few minutes ago we received news from our coworkers in Kashmir that she has escaped and is making her way to a safe location!Praise the Lord for this wonderful news, but at the same time please pray....1. That God will protect her from her pursuers until she is completely safe.2. That she will receive godly and effective help from any physical, emotional or mental scars this ordeal has given her.3.
