Yesterday I shared the gospel on a street corner a few blocks away from my home in Uptown Whittier CA. A gentleman who said his name was John sat down and listened to the message and afterward we conversed. He said he was a Christian but admitted to struggling with alcohol, pornography, fear, and schizophrenia. He seemed able to carry on a conversation so I reasoned with him from the scriptures and exhorted him about the need for true repentance and the need to examine one’s self to see if one is in the faith. He seemed very open to the exhortations and tears welled up in his eyes as I encouraged him to dive fully into the arms of God in repentance and full surrender. Before we parted ways I prayed for him. Thanks in advance for your prayers for him. This is a clip of yesterday's outreach (8:18 min. long) in case anyone is curious as to what a typical outreach looks like:

Who knows? It may be that the Lord may call someone reading this post to start reaching out like that in their community. I don't believe all Christians are called to do open air street preaching but I do believe we're all called to share the gospel with those around us and we can do that in various ways.
