On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the doors of a church in Wittenberg, Germany. Unintentionally, he sparked the protestant revolution.
I thought maybe it'd be a good idea to celebrate some of the good things we've seen since then. The reason is that when we talk about revival, we have a tendency to try to rid ourselves of the "dead" things, but we should also bring in more of those things which help us to thrive. After all--to steal and modify something I read from Francis Chan--You can't make a potato chip good for you by simply taking all the bad things out of it--then it'd be gross and unpalatable. You've got to put good ingredients in.
So what are some things in the last 500 years that you feel have made a huge impact in Christianity--something we need more of?
One thing I can think of is the refocus on missions. That was definitely something great, that we could use a lot more of in this day and age.
