Just a morning thought

Greetings

Do we excuse sin in our daily lives by not calling it sin? Over the years I have realized that a number of sins have been given degrees of sinfulness. Sometimes their glossed over and made to seem less sinful, or not talked about at all. Some sins are merely called weakness or mistake. I was thinking about my own walk this morning and began considering just how much I can have this attitude about sin.

For example one might lie and call it a "little white lie" or partake of gluttony and call it over indulging, or become angry and call it loosing my temper,

I just wander how many times do I sin against GOD each day and dismiss it as if it were just a mistake or a little thing. To GOD which sins are little and which ones aren't as offensive to HIM? Which of my sins that I might think are so bad did not nail JESUS to the cross? I think the answer is none...

LORD as I go through my day today open my eyes to see the plank that lies there in. Help me to understand that sin is what separates me from YOU and there is no such thing as a little sin or a non offending sin. Change my perspective help me to see all sin as YOU view and to realize that I am not a victim of sin but rather accountable for all my actions.
FATHER I pray this in JESUS name AMEN.

Good morning MJ,

I remember in my own life one of the greatest revelations to me in my walk. So many sins are readily apparent and dont really take a lot of conviction or revelation to highlight them to us. Yet after a year of focusing on one particular subject " be anxious for nothing." Before the Lord was finished with me on this He had revealed to me that to be anxious, to walk in fear, of man or anything else, was sin. And I might add that this revelation was not a condemnation, it was a loving Father simply showing me that my fear was a lack of trust in Him. It made me weep to realize how little I actually trusted my Lord if my own anxiousness was the measure of my trust in Him...........bro Frank
