Today I was considering some things before the LORD and this is what HE quickened to my heart.

"Pure and undefiled RELIGION in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
~ James 1:27
Man-made traditions will never save nor benefit the soul. But godly obedience to Scriptures and in following Christ will. There is "one" true narrow way of religion which is following the person of Christ and keeping His commands. All other ways of traditions that are contrary are dead and broken cisterns with no life giving water.
Oh yes! We so easily turn religious traditions into idolatrous trusts, and become resistant to the Spirit. Yet, we humans do need order in our lives; and religious tradition provides it. It is not evil in itself. It is like a platter filled with blessings, practices, habits, and truths of the faith - passed down the centuries. If only we could stop worshiping the platter or the dead old stuff it may have accumulated.
Some further thoughts.
No one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by observing any externals. (Romans 3:20).
Righteousness comes through total dependence, total faith, and total trust in Jesus Christ.

Again GOD is showing me it is about my relationship with HIM. Daily living and submitting to HIM in my life in all things. Its not about checking boxes or "doing the right things" but rather as an outpouring of his life in me boxes get ticked and doing the right things is not a question.
