I am just a newbie member but I would like to give thanks. I want to give thanks to Greg for permitting me to share and I want to thank him for his wisdom and insights, not the least hosting this venue.
I am Thankful for the regular posters that share their hearts and minds on this website. It's very apparent that God has done a tremendous work of grace in the many various lives he has saved and dwells in. With all the many cultural pressures that seek to stifle pure explanation of scripture and heartfelt desire to love God with a pure heart, it is wonderful to see what God is doing in the lives of the posters speaking here.
I am always blessed to read posts that express a real concern for the persecuted who cannot speak for themselves. I am blessed to read of others who struggle against sin and temptations that beset them opening up themselves and exposing their lives and their failures to the scrutiny of so many readers and the regular posters here. It's a work of God's kindness and mercies that we are able to share those kinds of things here even in a public forum and yet feel comfortable enough to do so. Praise the Lord for that.
We have various ones who are as hard as steel against sin, and strong to speak against the errors prevalent in our Churches. These same ones are yet welcoming of the repentant, praying and hoping for God's goodness to lead them to life and repentance. This is such a blessing to have and worth the time to read them, considering carefully what they say.
Others are cut from different cloth, these will cry loudly when they perceive even the weakest of us who like a smoldering reed must not and should never be extinguished. They exude a grace and kindness that is a balm to the brokenhearted. I rejoice in these and thank God for their words.
I am thankful for all of you who share your thoughts with me and try to read my long-winded responses. I have been blessed and challenged, I am corrected and balanced, I am warned and encouraged all because those who post demonstrate the grace of God toward all of us and I am all the better for it...and despite what can appear to be utter stubbornness and obstinacy from me, I hear and I am thankful.
May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus keep us faithful to obey him and live in accordance with all he has revealed and love each other with a pure heart. May God be glorified in our lives that he has purchased for himself
