I love my Lord, but with no love of mine,
For I have none to give;
I love Thee, Lord, but all the love is Thine,
For by Thy love I live.
I am as nothing, and rejoice to be
Emptied, and lost, and swallowed up in Thee.

Thou, Lord, alone, art all Thy children need,

Why quote Madame Guyon ?
"Modern critics say that Jeanne-Marie used self-hypnosis to achieve her "spiritual" states and trances and point out that she used "automatic writing" which suggests spiritualist practice. They wonder that she had so little to say about Christ (in proportion to the total number of words she wrote). I have read several of Guyon's book. The notion that she had little to say about Jesus is just plainly a false accusation by folks who no doubt had an agenda..........bro Frank
