Buzzards feed on the dead and we think them as being among the foulest of all God's creatures. Yet, even they have a purpose. They are God's little environmentalist, cleaning up dead things... things with deadly bacteria and toxins that could cause the spread of disease.
But what sort of animal feeds on the living, slowly & sadisticly...enjoying the suffering of it's victim with each bite. What would we call such an animal?
Paul warned this type of behavior is comparable to individuals who find pleasure in tearing others down and apart with their mouths. Both Peter and Jude referred to such individuals as "brute beasts."
Paul also warned, "If you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another" (Gal 5:15)!
Something”‹ is severely wrong with an individual who enjoys speaking hurtful things about other people. This sort of behavior is not the character of a genuine child of God.
Jesus said we would be known by our love for each other.
