Hello to all the beloved in Jesus. This is only my second post but I sure appreciate the encouragement of all the seeking hearts on this website and how iron sharpens iron among you by the Holy Spirit.I would like some insight to this if you have time. When Moses asked the Lord whom shall I say has sent me God responded "I AM" and again Jesus responded to the Jews questioning Him "before Abraham came to be, I AM". Here is a quote from John Gill pertaining to this:"This signifies the real being of God, His self-existence, and that He is the Being of beings; as also it denotes his eternity and immutability, and His constancy and faithfulness in fulfilling His promises, for it includes all time, past, present, and to come; and the sense is, not only I am what I am at present, but I am what I have been, and I am what I shall be, and shall be what I am."How do you feel these truths about God's identity relate to the spiritual revival we are seeking? Would 20% of God visit His people if they held on to 80% of their own ways? Would He still come down and plant a few warm fuzzies in our hearts because that's all we are allowing Him to do? Is God going to fit into our 9:00-10:30 early service timeframe just to admire our praise-singing? I've got to believe we grieve the Holy Spirit with our half-hearted desire. Who God HAS BEEN and who He IS is who God WILL BE when He comes down to convict, touch and heal His people. There will be no question as to whether God was present or not when His people truly come broken and desperate before Him. What do you think?Seeking Him, Chris
