Today is Saint Valentine's Day. I grew up with this day as one giving a valentine as a sign of affection and love to their significant other. But in my reading of the persecuted church I was pleasantly surprised to see that this day does have a root in persecution history.
I tried to find some videos that would share the story of Saint Valentime. Unfortunately many of them are from a Catholic perspective. Voice of the Martyrs has the story from an evangelical perspective in a children's book. But no VOM videos available.
However the link below is probably the best I found that gives the story devoid of the Catholic mystick.
