Here is a short introduction to the Moffatt Translation.
"its reception was so favorable (in the more liberal churches) that he undertook the Old Testament in order to produce a complete Bible."I think that says it all. It's not a translation, it's a paraphrase, and seems to me that it reads like the Living Bible.It's based on corrupted Alexandrian stream of Greek manuscripts.I think I stick with the real thing...
