Any of you that got the opportunity to watch Billy Graham's funeral yesterday received the same gospel message from Franklin Graham as you would have from Billy Graham over the decades, that he preached salvation through Christ alone.
Recently I attended a funeral of a 13 year old that died in a tragic incident in which he was shot and killed. The young man's grandmother is an intercessor that I have worked with for years in local and state gatherings and prayer meetings. The Lord revealed to her that "what the devil meant for evil, God was going to turn it for good." This was confirmed by the same scripture that the Lord gave to my wife, and the Spirit of God bore witness to my spirit also that this was going to happen.
The young man that was shot had received Christ as his savior at a youth camp. He was also baptized, and this was confirmed by the former pastor of the First Baptist Church where the grandmother attended and had brought her grandson to that church on many occassions. The gospel of Jesus Christ was shared at this funeral in a clear way and the Spirit of God confirmed the Word of God as over 70 teens received Christ as their savior when the invitation was given. These young people were escorted into a side room, and the grandmother of the young man that had died took down information for follow up which was done several days after the funeral.
Truly, Jesus Christ was glorified at this funeral!!
