Couple of great stories in Ray Comfort's newest newsletter: ..:: From the Mall to a Rave ::.. Sent in by Sam C. (St. Louis, MO) I was recently sharing one on one in a big mall in St. Charles when I ran into a man named Damien and started to share with him. He quickly told me that he thought that Jesus was a fool who deserved to die, and that all Christians are hypocrites, liars, and stupid for believing in Jesus. I asked him if I could buy his lunch and talk more with him. As we ate I shared the Law with him and answered many questions that he had. When we were finished talking he told me that he was not ready to give his life over to Jesus, but that he felt that it was important enough that his employees needed to hear. Come to find out he was a manager of three "Hot Topics" stores. ("Hot Topics" is a gothic store often found in malls.) He asked me to come on Thurs, Friday, and Saturday night and he would give me the first 5 minutes of closing to share with them the REAL Jesus. After I shared at the Hot Topic on Saurday night I was envited to a Gothic Rave. I agreed to go, but I had to pick up my friend Shawn. We went and had no clue as to what we were walking into. As we walked in this massive house we were greeted by Damien and another guy who goes by "Lucifer." As we walked through the house there was Marilyn Manson music playing loud, people all dressed in Goth making out, snorting lines off tables, and prostitution going on in full view. There were no less than 50 to 60 people in this house. After about 15 minutes, "Lucifer" announced that we had come and been invited to share about why Jesus was the fool he was and died for man. That was great because it gave me the opportunity to talk about sin, walk them through the Law and share the Gospel. I had about four hecklers, but others quickly quieted them. When I was finished a prostitute grabbed my hand. My friend and I sat down with her on a couch, shared Jesus with her and prayed. I was able to call a woman I know who works with prostitutes, and let this girl talk to her on my cell phone. The prostitute cried on the phone and then left the party to go home. We got to share with a few more people there, before the drugs and music started up again. But by the time we left the Word of God had been planted in many of those hearts. I have never experienced anything like that before but it was amazing! If I would have never gone through The Way of the Master [series], or heard Hell's Best Kept Secret, I would have had nothing to give those people. But there was a real show of conviction, everytime we walked through a room in that house after I shared. I thank God for the ministry of Living Waters.Michael Jackson's LawyerSent in by Steve B. (California) "I'm in court periodically on business and recently spotted Mark Garagos getting off the elevator. Mark has been in the media quite a bit in past months as the lawyer representing a few famous folks (Michael Jackson and Scott Peterson). He was with several people and he had a Big Gulp drink in his hand. He sat down on a bench across from me and was engaged in serious conversation. I had learned from Ray that a frontal attack with well-known people is not necessarily the best way to go. They tend to dismiss or flat out reject anything people try to hand them. I prayed that God would give me an opportunity to give Mr. Garagos a tract. After a few minutes he abruptly got up, leaving his drink on the bench, and went into the courtroom. I carry the tract "Your Day in Court," and like a shot out of a cannon I walked across the hall and placed the tract next to his drink. Continuing to pray I watched as he returned and sat down. He then reached for his drink and spotted the tract. He picked it up and began to read. He read it from cover to cover as I was praising God and asking that Mark might feel God tugging on his heart. I prayed that he would feel convicted and see his lost condition and need for the Savior. After a few minutes he stood up and handed the tract to one of the men who was with him and said, "Here, you should read this." I thought, Yes—two sinners with one stone, so to speak!Thank you Lord, may these come to repentance unto life..

Hi I think that to go into a place where Goths are would need courage and amazeing to get so close to be able to speak the truth to them. Those two books that you spoke of, do these give information and insite. The nerve, to put that tract near his drink oh! my! fantastic. And the effect it had on him. Both occasions most definitly of God! Highly encourageing, to be be bold in the Lord.Just what I need.Thankyou for shareing these.ellie

couch,You are about to make me bawl, brother. I know that you feel you are just doing the Lord's will, but it chokes me up when I hear the real thing going on. I don't really feel emotional at all when I am witnessing, but watching brothers that I don't know witnessing to the lost is better than anything Hollywood could pull of. Sorry Speilburg. Jesus wins.Your story hits home as I hung out with the group at high school that had the goth crowd in it. It was into skateboards, long hair, punk/hardcore/heavy music, etc (please no one get me wrong, Wesley had long hair and I would still skate today if I had time, I can't say anything good for the music, though). I had parties at my house that must have had well over 100 people (honestly, I think that is being conservative). Before conversion, I was sort of guy that said, 'whatever, let's just get some people over here and do this.' Now, though still shy in my own eyes, it is more like, 'whatever, let's just get some people saved.'Sometimes I feel like Elijah, and I have a pity party saying, 'Lord I am all alone in this.' But God's answer to him is just awesome, that there are seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal that he didn't know about(1 Kings 19:10/18, Romans 11:3-4). Hearing stories like that, and stories like yours, couch, just makes me want to forget about all my excuses and whining and just win some souls!"I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn."-John Wesley
