Western Christian influence in India

In recent times I saw few videos in Youtube that have grieved me so much. There are few young musicians in Indian who have started conducting these worship services. It is full of lights and music that models the Indian movies. There is no word getting preached, just dancing for songs endlessly that are worldly. The musician calls himself a pastor and also abuses openly other preachers who oppose his style of worship. He says his style will is for next generation of Indian Christians and he will go on to buy Private Jets etc. All influenced by Gospel musicians in West.

Then there are those television preachers who try to become the Benny Hinn of India by doing all those ugly tricks. There are lot of videos in Youtube, put by Hindus that mock such men. The comment section sounds very ugly, people are commenting like Christians should be eradicated in India etc. Also in Indian movies they have started mocking these fake healers.

I see where all these things are leading. Satan has produced these counterfeit healers and musicians to bring a hatred for Christianity in India. Already there is lot of persecution and if this trend continues, things will only get very ugly.

Please keep India in your prayers. Pray that God should raise prophets who will speak against such bad Christian influence on young Christians.

The danger of such western influence in Christian minority nations is very high. Here in US we take such false preachers so lightly, both true believers and unbelievers. But it is not the same in 3rd world nations or developing nations. The need to preserve a pure testimony for the Lord is greater in Pagan nations like India than in Western world. Because the Hindus there are very quick to find out and throw stones at these false Christian teachers. Think about this, when Hindus in India are already battling false teachers in their religion, why will they tolerate the false teachers in a minority religion who are also threatening to convert their people?

Not very much, thank goodness. Some day it may, but for now I am not complaining. I prefer not to see loved ones tortured and killed. Maybe I’m weird that way.

Naw Todd you're not weird, God knew the road you would travel long ago. Matter fact, you're in a country that tortures Christians mentally, and some physically everyday. What does our faith cost us? Well if you read the papers or check the news, they're Christians all over this country that suffer mentally and physically everyday because of their faith, or is it the amount of folks that are persecuted that only matters? My guess is persecution is persecution in God's eyes, just like sin is sin.
