Resurrection morning details

"Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. So they ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying there; yet he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen clothes lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen clothes, but folded together in a place by itself." (John 20:3-7)

In Hebrew culture, if you were given a linen cloth at a meal and used it and wadded it up and threw it on the table after the meal it meant you were done. If you folded it neatly and placed it on the table it meant you were not through and would be back. Praise the good God above, this seemingly unimportant and irrelevant detail often overlooked by the majority of Bible readers was the risen Christ already signaling that though He would leave He was not through but would be back! After His resurrection He obviously remained in complete composure and singleness of purpose and folded the handkerchief and left it in a place by itself so as to be regarded apart from the rest of the burial clothes which I assume He also folded. This handkerchief lying neatly folded and apart from the rest is a astonishing detail provided to us by the word of God. HE IS NOT THROUGH AND WILL BE BACK!!!
