I'm in a bit of a quandary. I moved from Florida to Minnesota in September about three and a half years ago. The first winter passed and when Spring came I and a new friend of mine were going to rummage sales just for the fun of it to see what we could pick up that might be of some value. We came to a lady's house and I had on a shirt that had Florida on the front of it and she asked where I was from in Florida. I told her Tallahassee, Fla and to my utter surprise she said she had just moved from Tallahassee six weeks before. She was raised here and she and her husband had just moved back six weeks before and come to find out she and her husband had lived about a mile and a half from me the entire time I was in Tallahassee for seven years!!! So I moved 1,534 miles to Bemidji, Minnesota and met a woman who had lived a mile and a half from me in Florida. She and I were both amazed! Time went by for about a year or so I guess and I often wondered about here and one day I am walking across the parking lot of Hobby Lobby and for some reason out of the blue I began thinking about here and when I walked into Hobby Lobby I bumped right into her. After a year or so from our first meeting. I finally met her husband and we have gotten together a few times and discussed the Bible etc. and salvation and loosely sort of have plans to maybe get together again. The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is not far at all from where I live and some more of their door to door missionaries have stopped by from time to time. They came again the other day and I asked them if they knew this lady and her husband and he said yes. So we talked a bit and I told him I would be willing to sit with them anytime, the lady and her husband included, and discuss the Bible and their view. He said he would talk to this couple and maybe come back to visit me possibly with them. Is this the right way to go?
Some of my Christian friends who go to the same church as me have told me to not even wish them godspeed and don't even let them in your house. And I know there is scriptural evidence for that. Some of my Christian friends have also told me to talk with them a bit is not doing anything wrong. So I'm in a quandry. I'm not discounting personal prayer on their behalf which is likely the most important way to minister to them but how does one minster and share with groups like this unless you do it face to face? No contact means no dialog and possible light entering their heart from your testimony. I would maybe not be so interested but I moved 1,534 miles and met someone who lived a mile and a half from me while I lived in Tallahassee for seven years. Is this a coincidence or a divine arrangement? If it is a divine arrangement how do I go about sharing with them except face to face even if it is in my own home?
