The End is Near
This morning I was in prayer before the Lord. I was praying and pondering the implications of the airstrikes launched against Syria last night. I heard the Spirit say the end is near.
Immediately I thought of 1st Peter 4:7 that says the end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and sober-minded for prayer. I pray that not only myself but all who hear the voice of Christ will be in prayer regarding the situation in Syria.
I can't help but think that the situation in Syria will escalate into a nuclear confrontation conceivably with Russia and the US. But the Lord has said these things must take place. But this is not yet immediately the end.
I do get the sense it is time to stop playing around. To start getting more serious about the things of Jesus.
I pray for the protection of God's people in that part of the world. Syria and they regions around it. I pray that hearts will be opened to Jesus and the only true peace and security that he can offer.
May God give us all Grace to stay our minds on him in the days ahead. Because the only true peace will come from that which Jesus can give.
