Can somebody praise the Lord!

R
rbanks May 25, 2018

Philippians 4:4 (KJV) Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice.

It is time to rejoice in the Lord! The apostle Paul tells us to rejoice in the Lord always!

Let’s shout aloud His Praises! It is time to Glory in the Lord! Don’t be sad for the joy of the Lord is your strength! God wants his people to rejoice and be thankful in the Lord!

It’s time for some to stop being so doomy and gloomy! Some need a baptism of love! Let’s be filled with his love, joy and peace!

Is there anybody else out there who wants to give God your highest praise? Is there anybody else out there that’s wants to rejoice in the Lord always?

This is a totally new walk for me and I'm enjoying Jesus more and more everyday and I'm smiling a whole LOT more!! Praise His holy name!!

It is easy to rejoice in the Lord when the sun is shining and when we are not being buffeted with the winds of adversity. The true test comes when we find ourselves in the storm or in the midnight hour when there is no visible evidence of God’s presence. It is times like this when we are faced with the choice of either sinking down in defeat in self pity or rising up with praise and Thanksgiving to the Lord. Adverse circumstances, darkness and trial cannot defeat the child of God that knows how to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.

"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” (Acts 16:25,26)

Praise and Thanksgiving changes the atmosphere!

I will bless the Lord
His praise will continually be in my mouth
He has blessed me with every spiritual blessing!
We are blessed to succeed in matters of the Kingdom
God is for us
Who can be against us?

We are the Church
We are one new man
We are not divided
We are one!
We are not our own enemy
We are family
We are one
We are the Kingdom and we are the Church
We will be wise stewards
Of the mysteries of God

I take my responsibility
To do my part
To contribute to the purposes of God
And to the Church of Jesus Christ

I am brand new in Jesus
I put away the old man
I put away his lusts
I put away the deceit
I put away ungodly beliefs
And I take up the new man

I am a new creation
I am created by God in righteousness and holiness of the truth
I will be filled with the Spirit
I will sing the melodies of the Lord
I will give thanks
I will not complain
I will fill the atmospheres with the praises of my God
Wherever I go, God goes.
Wherever I go, I change the equation.

We are the Church
We are filled with fire!
We are the servants of the living God
Jesus Christ is King!
Jesus Christ is Lord!

Amen sister and brothers!

Rejoicing and praising God in the midst of all trials and circumstances is the greatest benefit to the christian!

This is the secret that Paul learn and all through the trials he went through...he still rejoiced in the Lord!

The joy of the Lord is your strength to carry on through all of life's adversities!

Jesus wanted our Joy to be full...the apostles wanted our joy to be full...so I say again rejoice in the Lord always!

John 15:11 (KJV)
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

John 16:33 (KJV)
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:24 (KJV)
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Acts 2:28 (KJV)
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Acts 13:52 (KJV)
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 20:24 (KJV)
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Romans 14:17 (KJV)
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 15:13 (KJV)
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

1 John 1:4 (KJV)
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

Just reading this refreshing thread makes me want to rejoice. I like Paul's prescription "Rejoice in the Lord always.” I know we all have been in some of the deepest valleys, I know losing a wife and a child as I have, is probably is the deepest and longest valleys a person could ever be in, but I have always found a way to rejoice in the valley. Like Paul said Rejoice Always, I take his prescription everyday, because people, even some Christians will find ways to try and steal your joy. Take Paul's advice, it works, it really does. Praise Jesus!

Based on Psalm 150

Praise the Lord of the morning
When the sun rises from its sleep
Praise the Lord for His excellent greatness
For His beauty makes me weep

Praise the Lord when the darkness falls
And the moon rises high above
Praise the Lord for His majestic glory
And His everlasting love

Praise the Lord in the winter
When the snow falls on the ground
Praise the Lord for His glorious presence
When we stand upon holy ground

Praise the Lord of the summer
When the days are warm and long
Praise the Lord for His magnificent splendor
And the saints shall sing a new song

Praise the Lord of the springtime
When the blossoms on the tree
Praise the Lord for His holiness
And for the Blood that set us free

Praise the Lord of the Autumn
When the leaves fall to the ground
Praise the Lord for His faithfulness
And that His grace abounds

Praise the Lord when your happy
And there's a smile upon your face
Praise the Lord for His mercy
And for His saving grace

Praise the Lord when you're in despair
And your pierced by a fiery dart
Praise the Lord for HIs loving kindness
That restores your broken heart

Praise the Lord with your last breath
As you lie upon your bed
Praise the Lord for His promises
To raise you from the dead

Praise the Lord for all eternity
As you gather around His throne
Praise the Lord for His incredible beauty
As you worship Him alone

Let trumpet, harp and timbrel praise
And dance before the King
Let all with breath praise the Lord
And with their voices sing

Hallelujah to the King of Kings
We worship and bow down
We sing to you forever more
And we will crown Him with many crowns .......bro Frank

After years of walking in the 'joy of the Lord,' I finally looked up the word 'strength'. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

It is a fort, fortress, or a stronghold!

My experience has been that we tend to think of a stronghold as negative or evil (pulling down strongholds)but I have been asking the Lord to establish His righteous kingdom stronghold of joy over the churches and over our area.

Woohoo!

I find it totally amazing that when I get into the WORD, allow it to speak to me, knowing this is God's love letter to me - and all of mankind - I sense his pleasure! I see in it the nature of God, how He thinks, how he views humans and how he wants us to live. Following Him enhances Life but will also put you at odds with the enemy who will use others to pull you down away from God. God is totally amazing and when one understands this, allowing it to fill your entire being, there is total joy - world events that work to distract us loses it power.

God is just a wonderful God - no ifs or ands or buts about it!

Amen sister Sandra...

I thought of another scripture where Jesus tells us to rejoice and be exceedingly glad....

Matthew 5:11-12 (KJV) 11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

For though the fig tree doesn't flourish, nor fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food; the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls:

yet I will rejoice in the LORD. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.

The LORD, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer's feet, and enables me to go in high places. Amen.
Habakkuk 3:17-19

From James the apostle, a man of few words:

"13Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them
pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of
praise. 14Is anyone among you sick? Let them call
the elders of the church to pray over them and
anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord."

Bless the Lord, o my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy Name!

Father we rejoice in you- we thank you for every spiritual blessing in Christ. We thank you for the destiny that you have granted to us. We thank you and praise you for the security we have in you- the Strong Tower , the Hiding Place . We thank you for an awesome inheritance. We thank you for every gift of the Holy Spirit. We thank you for every Christ-like fruit of the Spirit. Father, we thank you that you have adopted us to yourself through Jesus Christ that we might be your children. We are not orphans and we are not strangers. We are fellow members of God’s house! We are fellow citizens with the saints of the City of Almighty God, and in Jesus’ name we put down any lie that would say otherwise. We are the head and we are not the tail. Because of what your Son did we are your children and we are not merely slaves. We will not squander the precious blood of Jesus or the great Holy Spirit poured out on us! We repent of giving the devil so much place and allowing him to make so much noise in our lives. We will begin to live and act like children of the Most High, and as subjects of the one true King. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
