The River Is Rising

Nigel, something to consider which I think most folks miss. In the last 100 years or so we have seen almost 1 billion people come to know Jesus, about 700 million of them can be traced back to the Welsh and Azuza St revivals. There was such an outpouring through churches like the Assembly of God and the Elim Pentecostal churches and it lasted for several decades. If the Lord is near, and I believe that He is, one could easily argue that we have just seen the last great outpouring and it was as mighty as any revival we have seen in the last 2000 years.

Oftentimes revival precedes great destruction. Think of the prophet Jonah and Ninevah. There was a great revival in Ninevah yet about 100 years later destruction came upon that great city. 70 years after Jesus was born Israel was destroyed, about 1 million Jewish people were killed and the Temple and the sacrificial system was gone. So, my question to you and others is, for the sake of pondering, have we just lived through the greatest revival the world has ever seen and now we are in the great falling away that actually precedes the coming of the Lord?........bro Frank
