How To Know God Exists

For those who agree with the philosophy of foundationalism, its a proper basic belief.

Or, you can endorse one or more of the 'arguments for the existence of' God.

Or, ignoring all other arguments you can rationalize God's existence from your own reasoning/experience.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

When you approach God as a skeptic, it's difficult to accept God's existence and even harder to believe he is a rewarder (a good God) who will reward them that diligently seek him.

The necessary ingredient to 'knowing God exists' is faith.
Yet, scientism, rationalism, argument, proofs, might sway someone to acknowledge God exists but it provides no reasoning to think God is a 'rewarding God'. Only the idea of a 'rewarding God' can come from God himself.

All through the bible we are shown it takes God's own working to enlighten us that God exists and is a rewarder of the diligent seeker.

Only Christians will understand this concept, the unbeliever suppresses the idea that God's own power is what is required to open the eyes of the spiritually blind.

This is the death of the self-idol, the realization that a sinful human does not get to God by reason of his intellect, knowledge, rationality, religion, science. The sinner gets to God by reason of God himself aiding him.
